Description

Book 4 nights or more for a 10% discount. Book 7 nights or more for a 15% discount. Come rejuvenate in the woods Small, private, idyllic, riverside cabin We love this space and we hope that shines through in your experience staying here. NEW: We've just installed Starlink to upgrade the rural wifi experience. The space An exclusive & secluded private let. Immerse yourself in nature. Become 'weightless' and be indulged. This is an intimate, open-plan space, so best suits couples (if you co-sleep then young families are also fine and the baby/toddler comes free). You won't need to bring any tea, coffee or most of your larder basics. We provide [great] fresh coffee beans for filter and espresso-based drinks. We also have the usual bagged teas, and some fresh growing herbal tea options in the garden. We've tried to provide everything we'd want ourselves, but it's better to under-promise and over-deliver, so we'll stick to basics in this description and leave you to discover the wonders of this place when you visit. For indoor cooking you have 2 induction hobs and an air fryer. For outdoor cooking we have a high quality steel firepit with outdoor cooking utensils. Day trip options abound with the best (award winning) beaches and coastal walks in the UK on our doorstep. There are plenty of castles, adventure parks and seaside towns (like Cardigan, St David's, Tenby, Fishguard etc), all within a modest drive. Guest access Whilst there is a flushing loo in the cabin, the bath/shower is outside on the deck, so showering in winter is invigorating, BUT a steaming hot, *super-deep* bath in the fresh air is actually quite a novel treat. Guests must use cleaning and bathing products provided as the greywater drains [indirectly] into the river. The cabin is small and well-insulated, so the wood-burning stove can heat it to a warm temperature quickly and easily. You can bring your own devices to play media through the projector (miracast, IOScast, Bluetooth, HDMI), but we have added a firestick with Netflix on there too. The space is 'rugged' and it's not recommended for people with mobility issues. Crawling babies and toddlers would also have to have a very close eye kept upon them in a place like this. Other things to note Checking in and out are both flexible depending on the departure and arrival of other guests. If we have no one arriving straight after you then you can check out later. If we have no one leaving just before you arrive then you can check in earlier. Please email a few days before your visit if you want to try to come early. If we are bridging a 5 hour changeover gap then I'm afraid we have to be quite strict on both sides of it. We have a minimum 2 night booking policy, so any calendar gaps of one night are assured flexibility around the adjacent entry/exit. The property is served by our own spring, so you have very good spring water on tap (higher quality than any bottled water). The tub is served by this spring, so you will be bathing in the highest quality, filtered spring water. You're welcome to wade down the river in your wellies or stroll through the woodland in our garden. We're very relaxed and friendly. It's a stunning fairy-tale woodland, carpeted with flowers in spring, thick with moss and quite wild in places. In the coldest weather the bath/shower on the deck will have to have the isolation valve turned off & water drained at night, to prevent freezing and damage to pipes and fittings. Water inside the cabin will still function normally 24/7 and you can still use the tub and shower during the day, as long as we're above 1oC and I can safely turn the water on. In winter guests should NOT expect to be able to use the hammocks. With the perpetual rain in Wales it is near impossible to keep these dry. We have now added a raincover for the swing seat though, so this can be used all year. We provide free wood for guests. The indoor fire comes set and ready to light, and we also provide chopped wood and logs/axes in case you need more. We don't put any limit or charge on wood use. Sam has created a great guidebook for the area. Please click through her profile to view it. Bring wellies for wading in the river... and in case there's rain. Bring charcoal if you plan on BBQing a lot. Bring a dressing gown if it's cold and you think you might be in and out of the tub a lot. We've now installed Starlink for the cabin, so it has a superfast satellite internet connection, installed on 16.4.2025
