HISTORIC RAILWAY HOUSE #95 A beautifully and thoughtfully refurbished Historic Railway Cottage in the quaint "National Park Village". The village is surrounded by two World Heritage listed National Parks and is the gateway to the Central Plateau area. This has been a much-loved family holiday home for many years, but we now wish to share it with you, so you too can enjoy the multitude of exciting activities and adventures this stunning part of our country has to offer. The space In the well-appointed beautifully sunny, north facing kitchen, you will find everything at your fingertips. The cosy, comfortable lounge area is open to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen opens onto a large sunny deck, with an outdoor lounge suite and picnic table. You'll have a lovely view of Mount Ngaruahoe through the trees on a clear day. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, and a large bunk room for the kids. The bunks have been custom-made, so there's plenty of head room for adults to sit. There are heaters in each bedroom and a shower that never runs out of hot water. Cosy warm duvets and pillows are provided. Please see further notes below re linen, there is an extra charge of $15 per person if you wish to hire linen, or you can bring your own. The lounge has a Smart TV with Netflix and other streaming platforms available, as well as all the Freeview channels. There is a great selection of kids toys and books, and board games for a rainy day. There's a lockable shed for skis, boards and bikes and plenty of off street parking (4+ cars), a large deck area leading out from the kitchen and attractively designed lawn and garden areas where children can play safely. There is a clothes washing machine, an outside clothes line and pegs, and an inside drying rack. There is a heat pump unit in the lounge that provides heating and cooling all year round. The indoor fireplace is wonderful on a wet or chilly day. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire property, including the secure sheds (for storage of your equipment). Other things to note LINEN HIRE - We like to leave linen as an option, so if you're on a bit of a budget you can bring your own. Otherwise we have all linen available at a cost of $15 per person per stay. That includes top and bottom bedsheets, pillow slips, bath towels, bath mat, hand towels and a couple of tea towels. If you would like to use our linen, we can request an extra payment via air bnb. Please indicate if you would like to use our linen when you lodge your booking request. PLEASE NOTE - WE DO NOT CHARGE A CLEANING FEE. You are expected to leave the house clean and tidy - as you found it. Thank you. CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT TIMES are strictly enforced, early or late times may be pre-arranged for a fee. HOUSE RULES also apply, and penalties will be incurred if these are not adhered to: - No smoking or vaping. - No gatherings or excessive noise. - No extra guests. - No shoes/boots worn inside. - No pets. - No illegal substances or items. - Check-out must be BEFORE 11am
