Moments on the Maury River- Lexington VA VMI WLU

"Moments on the Maury” is a relaxing retreat on the Maury river in Lexington, VA. The house is a 7 miles to downtown, VMI and Washington & Lee and 4 miles to the Virginia Horse Center. Listen to the sounds of the river on the deck or enjoy a fire next to the river while making s’mores. The Maury River offers a great place to swim, fish and kayak. The space This newly renovated home offers 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and 2 separate living areas making it great for families. The house is ranch style with a basement. Upstairs has two bedrooms (king and queen beds), full bathroom, kitchen and living room. Downstairs has two bedrooms (twin bunk with trundle and full beds), full bathroom, living area and laundry room. Bumper pool, legos, playstation and a few games are available in the basement living area. Both of the sofas in the living areas have queen sleep sofas. The house is stocked with bath towels, linens and basic toiletries, basic spices/condiments. TVs in each of the bedrooms and living areas have access for you to log-in to streaming services. We have both a traditional and Keurig coffee makers. There is a covered outdoor area next to the river that has a picnic table, grill and river items. A fire pit with 6 Adirondack chairs makes for a great evening by the river. There is private access into the river for you to enjoy the 2 adult and 3 children kayaks and life vests we have available to use. The large grass field is great for field games and cornhole. Guest access You will have access to the entire house and hut by the river. Other things to note The walkway to the river is pretty steep so make sure you take your time walking down the hill. Cars are not allowed down walkway to river. Unless rain has risen the river levels, guests are free to fish, swim and float in the river. Swim at your own risk. The house is in the country by the river. You may see a few bugs, and other creatures who call Lexington home! It's par for the course!
