Mins from O'Keeffe, Ghost Ranch, Abiquiú Lake, Rió Chama, & more! *NO PETS* 2-NIGHT MIN. The space This well-appointed park model tiny home features vaulted ceilings, beams, and natural light which give it an open and spacious feel. The huge loft space is a great bonus sleeping and hang out area. A ‘park model’ refers to a large tiny home, usually no more than 400 sq ft (not including loft spaces). LOFT HEIGHT: you are not able to stand up in the loft. There is plenty of room to sit up on the floor or bed mattresses and it is the only space in the home that is carpeted. It is very comfortable and spacious but it is important to be aware of if you have any physical challenges. KITCHEN: comes fully-equipped with all the essentials, including: cookware, bakeware, and some cooking oils & spices. You can stock up on your favorite foods and prepare them at your leisure. There is a Keurig k-cup machine for coffee, sugar & sugar substitutes, & creamer packets. The freezer drawers will not fit a full-size frozen pizza box. Ice cream, frozen dinners, and standard bags of ice will fit. There is an ice tray which will be filled and frozen for your arrival. CHECK-IN: we recommended checking in before dark to get the lay of the land. Part of the property goes into a large arroyo (wash) and the night sky is very dark here. If you need to check-in at night, please use caution when driving onto the property. Guest entry gate is the turquoise gate on Hwy 84, near Co Rd 155. HOT WATER: because of the compact and efficient nature of the home, the hot water heater is limited to a 20 gallon tank. If you have more than two people staying during your reservation or you take long, hot showers, you'll need to space out hot water usage. Hot water lasts for about 15-20 mins of showering. It will take about 30-45 mins to replenish itself, if fully drained. This is one of the quirks and compromises of going tiny! ROAD NOISE: There is a potential to hear traffic noise from State Highway 84, which is a two lane road. The property borders the road but the casita is set back from it. The house and outdoor areas are situated intentionally so that there is a sound buffer & privacy from the road if you are using the outdoor areas. Most of the views from the house face away from the road. Our guests have been pleasantly surprised how little you hear the highway when inside the home and some have found it to be a comfort & convenience, especially when traveling alone. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, except for the owner's shed. Other things to note NO PETS allowed on the property or in the casita. NOTE: OUR PROPERTY & TINY HOME WILL BE LISTED FOR SALE IN THE SPRING OF 2024. WE HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE OUR CALENDAR AFTER APRIL SO WE CAN FOCUS ON THE SALE.
