The space Spread out for relaxation or quiet concentration in one of four bedrooms (one king sized bed; two queens and a twin), spacious dining room with family-style farm table (think games + puzzles – or relaxed zoom meetings), a cozy living room with area for yoga or stretching – and not one but *two* screened porches – surrounded on all sides by nothing but the sights and sounds of nature. Or cook to your heart’s content in the newly renovated kitchen featuring brand-new appliances and tools to whip up a delicious meal or after hike snack. Outdoors, you’ll find a terraced 2-acre property with two fire pits, private grass meadow perfect for cornhole games, frisbee, sunbathing, or a picnic; a year-round stream that winds its way just steps away from the house; mountain views – and of course, our namesake waterfall in a peaceful bluestone alcove that’s perfect for reading or meditation. Explore the property, take a leisurely walk, hike, bike, kayak or enjoy a beautiful day of fly fishing on the Delaware River located just at the end of the road, or Cannonsville Reservoir on Highway 10. When you’ve had enough relaxation, explore downtown Walton’s six antique shops - including @dooggoods; the newly opened gallery KIPNZ; or venture out to popular nearby towns - Hamden, Andes, Delhi or Roscoe (aka Trout Town USA). Hosts are more than happy to provide recommendations on stops! Please note that cell service is very limited on the property due to our location. HOWEVER, the WiFi is strong in the house and can be used for video conferencing/Zoom and streaming (HBO Max, etc). We recommend enabling WiFi calling on any cell phone being used - unless, of course, you're coming for the peace and quiet. Guest access All parts of the farmhouse and property are accessible to guests, except the basement Other things to note Our wood burning stove is a brand-new, environmentally friendly unit equipped with a catalytic element to reduce particulate emissions. It requires a bit more attention than normal fireplaces until the fire is established. If you would like to use the stove, instructions are provided and the host requests that they walk through these instructions with you to ensure the safest experience.
