3 Bedroom family home. Designed with children in mind, this peaceful home on the edge of the Lake District is the perfect place to stay if you are a family travelling with young kids or two couples. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space after many Lake District walks. Beautiful outside seating area is right beside the local bowling club, sit with the fire lit and drinks and watch the locals play. Well situated for the Lakes and Dale's. 10 mins to Kendal, 15/20 mins to Windermere. The space The house has been equipped for children, there are stair gates at the top of the stairs and a closing door at the bottom. Some toys and games are left in the property for your enjoyment. A complete refurbishment of the downstairs bathroom is currently underway, with brand new walk in shower and toilet being installed. The downstairs bathroom is in addition to the existing bathroom with toilet and bath upstairs. Please check back for updated photos when the work is completed. The garden has a children's tree house and slide, and a trampoline (please no adults on the trampoline) ****bed sizes in children's room***** please note that the bed in the children's room is a junior size bed, it has a pull out junior bed underneath for a second child. If your second child needs a larger bed there is a single size airbed in the cupboard where the second set of bed linen is stored. There is a lovely outside seating area with outdoor log burner and gas BBQ to enjoy the sun in the evenings. A folder in the house will provide you with suggestions of activities for a range of ages within the local area. The house is an old stone property. Due to its age, please be aware of the fact that some of the original sash windows are unable to open due to secondary glazing. Guest access Guest parking is at the low entrance to the home off the main road. Postcode to this access will be provided when guests book.
