Even the front garden is inviting with well-established trees and a large lawn, making your shoulders relax as you pull up and see that you are truly about to enjoy a restful break. The village itself is very historical and is mentioned in the Doomsday book but venture a little further and you will find yourself in an area immersed in history with the Sandringham, Houghton and Holkham Estates, Peckover House, Oxburgh Hall, Castle Acre, Castle Rising and the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn all waiting to be explored. Those looking for great walks and wildlife experiences will also be spoilt for choice with Welney Wetlands, RSPB Snettisham, Denver, Blackborough End and Thetford Forest with Go Ape and High Lodge all within easy reach. Shouldham Woods is less than a mile from the cottage itself and offers lovely walks and safe cycle routes too. And you can be on the stunning North Norfolk coastline in half an hour, where you will discover wide sandy beaches, rolling sand dunes, stripy cliffs, salt and clay marshes, creeks, harbours and quays, all ready to boost those lovely holiday snaps.
