Historic Rose Street Suite
This 1850 home is close to several colleges, including Purdue and Notre Dame. Minutes from Northwest Health and 20 from Franciscan Health Hospital. Lakes and Fox Memorial Park right down the street. Plenty to do, lakes, national parks, museums, Hesston Trains, casinos, golf, and vineyards. Besides livin' the lake life in the summer, we're 23 minutes from the Michiana Trail Riders Coalition, for off-roading and snowmobiling. Airbnb parking is street parking next to unit. The space Part of the historic Judge John B. Niles House, which consists of 2 “townhomes” and a “cottage”. This guest suite flows well and sleeps from 1 to 6 comfortably, although there is a couch for 1 more to stay. We have a relaxing front porch with swings, a decent size front yard with a hedge border, and views of another beautiful historic home next door. As you walk in, you're greeted by the original curved staircase leading to the second level, with the living room to your right, the foyer is a wide hallway leading to a pass-through half-bath and then onto the back bedroom. When you enter the living room there's a big screen tv with Roku Streaming, a sofa, work area, and plenty of natural light. The full kitchen has a circle table with chairs & bench seating made from an old church pew. Behind the kitchen is the relaxing 3rd bedroom with 2 twin day beds and another 40” Roku tv. It also has a dresser with a fold out desk, which could double as another workspace, access to the pass-through half-bath, and a decorative fireplace. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with two twins, big closets, nice views, and natural light. To round off the upstairs, there's a full bathroom with a curved rod for extra room in the shower, and plenty of storage. We are always improving the property to better your stay! Guest access Airbnb unit, front porch, and front yard are for guest use. The large front porch and yard are shared. Attic is off limits. Garage is off limits. Basement is off limits. In the process of dividing the backyard for separate Airbnbs. So, hopefully when you’re here you’ll have your own relaxation area. In the meantime it just an open area. The back door is currently emergency exit only and to take any garbage and recycling out. Other things to note There is a section of gravel leading to the front steps since we had to lift the steps, and a low railing for the interior staircase, as it is historic. Lots of big trees to make a beautiful autumn view. Enjoy yourself!!
