Description
Welcome to the High Country. A place with a history of pioneers and vagabonds of the past, which you will discover once you delve into the history of our mountain town, Tumbarumba. Embrace the spirit of the mountains and immerse yourself in all that it will reveal. Black Range Cottage is nestled in the heart of Tumbarumba. It is located in the main street, with easy access to all the amenities that the town has to offer. Black Range Cottage is named after our family farm, which runs through the ridge north of town known as Black Range. The cottage is part of the original building that was constructed in 1920 as the residence to the general store of the time. We have endeavoured to retain the original setting. Black Range Cottage offers two comfortable spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living area and kitchen. Bedroom one offers a plush queen size bed. Bedroom two consists of two single beds. Parking is available in the main street or in the Council Carpark at the rear of the complex. There are a range of activities to suit all endeavors, from fine wine tasting and dining, bushwalking, fly fishing and mountain bike riding. The Tumbarumba to Rosewood rail trail, opened in 2020, is a 21 km bike trail that meanders through the valleys west of town, traversing through local farmland. The Hume and Hovell Track is a short drive south of town, along with Paddy’s River Falls. Don’t forget to stroll around town to see the Sculptures of the Snowy’s which are dotted around the streets and creekscape. Our family have recently completed extensive renovations to Black Range Cottage. We hope that you will enjoy the comfortable setting that we have provided for our guests. But most importantly, we hope that you enjoy your time up here in Tumbarumba. Registration Details Exempt
