The one bedroom apartment at Jardines de Catalina is an ideal setting for both short term and longer-term guests. The rental rate does not include electricity There is construction next door and the unit is listed for sale so we have reduced the rates to compensate for the inconvenience. The space Located on the top floor (4 floors) boasting vaulted ceilings, this one bedroom one bath condo offers views of the lush jungle, with refreshing trade winds, making it the ultimate spot to unwind on the private spacious patio. The unit features an oversized cozy sectional couch, beautiful credenza with TV, upgraded kitchen equipped with everything you might need, nice sized bathroom, comfortable queen bedroom with a dresser and ample closet space, plus a washer/dryer in the unit. The split air conditioning units allow you to cool down after a sun filled day at the beach. This apartment is located at the top of the hill behind Splash Inn. It is about an 8 minute walk from the main West End Road. There is limited parking at the project if you choose to rent a vehicle. This third floor condo has 4 flights of stairs so it is not recommended for people with mobility issues. There is parking at the bottom of the development. This is the best parking as the road to the top units, where this is located, is only passable in an all wheel drive vehicle.. The outdoor balcony has super comfortable furniture and overlooks a 100+ year old Cahoon palm tree and the surrounding hills.\ *******The unit is listed for sale so there will be showings. We will notify the guests the day before the showings. We ask that guests keep the unit tidy for the showings but they don't have to do anything else****** Other things to note The rental rate does not include electricity. The meter will be read and check-in and again at check-out to determine the usage and then deduct an allowance that covers the frige, lights, and fans. The guest is responsible for the remainder. The condo is listed for sale. This means we will have showings. We are notified the day before showings and will let the guests know. The showings are usually fast and guests don't have to do anything except keep the place reasonably tidy. The rate for your dates does not include electricity. It does include all taxes, fees, wireless internet, and drinking water. Electricity is quite expensive on Roatan. So Instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge to for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out, subtract the allowance, and use the previous month's bill to determine the charge per kilowatt hour. This amount is deducted from your security deposit. If you are energy aware and only use the AC only at night, I would say the electricity will be around $5 - $10/ day. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $200 / week to the rental rate. We are on an island off the coast of Honduras. We have frequent power, internet, and water outages that are outside of our control. It is the price of living in paradise. No refunds will be given in the event of any utility outages beyond our control.
