Description
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space, cloaked in acres of pristine nature. Accessible only by a walking trail that leads to the reserve forest and highest viewing point in the valley. Studio's oversized windows though the walls and the terrace offer a 360 view of the Himalayan peaks' grandeur; you can lie in bed with magnificence of nature's wonders in sight. It's a perfect opportunity to disconnect from the rest of the world and connect deeply with your mind, body and soul! The space The Panoramic Studio is the entire first floor of the villa. It gives you private access to: - A large master studio with bed, lounger sofa bed, pantry with refrigerator and some casual floor seating. - Attached reading sunroom with bath. - The skydeck terrace, great for breakfast and sunbathing. There are large windows all around with breathtaking views of the valley, gardens, forests and the entire Himalayan range of Kumaon, Garhwal and Nepal. There is great ventilation, ample sunlight from first ray to the last ray of sun. Some of the common spaces will be accessible on ground floor based on our booking calendar. You can access the villa though a private entrance in case the ground floor is occupied during your stay. Guest access You will have common access to the backyard and the kitchen. Some parts of the ground floor will be restricted for access when occupied. The entire estate is open to accessible to all guests, these comprise of gardens, sit-outs, farm, DIY workshop and studio. The Estate was originally home to Padam Sri Laurie Baker a British-born Indian architect, renowned for his initiatives in cost-effective energy-efficient architecture. There are several unique buildings from 1950's that are being conserved, repaired and repurposed across the estate; which include: - Mitraniketan, the Baker's residence - Elizabeth Baker's hospital building - Stone built outhouses - A single pillar Hexagonal Chapel During your stay We do not live on the premises, but visit the farm from time to time. We would love to interact as you please, and give our guests their own private space.
