Welcome to WEI’s 3-bedroom FarmStay suite ensemble. This stay consists of 3 charming bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms located on the second floor of our Eco-Retreat Center Farm House: the Amador Suite, Sunrise Room and Jenny Room. This FarmStay is a program of Women's Environmental Institute at Amador Hill. Guests can experience an active farm vacation or a more restful private retreat. The space This is a great stay for a small family or group of friends. The Amador Suite is a large bedroom that includes a queen-sized bed, private balcony, writing desk, comfortable chairs and a large private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower. The Sunrise Room has a very comfortable double bed, rocking chair, and writing desk with chair. It’s three windows open up onto the east side of the property and offer a welcoming morning sunrise through WEI’s organic apple orchard. The room shares a bathroom with tub and shower with the Jenny room. The Jenny Room is a very cozy room with a comfortable Jenny-style double bed, a writing desk with chair and an armchair. The Jenny Room’s window opens up to view the west side of the property with a full view of our dense hillside forest. “Forest bathing” starts at the Jenny Room window! WEI manages a three-season organically certified farm as part of our Environmental Justice mission. Located in the St. Croix River Valley, our farmhouse is nestled high on Amador Hill surrounded by our apple orchard, forests and farmland. If requested, FarmStay guests are welcome to learn about our regenerative organic farming practices, WEI’s rural and urban programs, our environmental justice advocacy work, take a class over the weekend or enjoy various other scheduled activities at the farm. WEI’s Amador Hill property encompasses 30 tillable farm acres and 7 1/2 orchard acres, surrounded and secluded by dense forest covering the hillside. Wild deer have created natural forest trails throughout the dense woods and other wildlife abounds on WEI's Amador Hill Farm, including a wide variety of birds and bands of wild turkeys. We also house a friendly cat in the farmhouse but are never allowed in the bedrooms. Upon request, they can leave during your FarmStay. Guest access FarmStay guests have exclusive access to the second-floor bedrooms. You will also have access to our shared common spaces which include a fully-equipped modern kitchen, extra bathrooms, fireplace room, and front porch overlooking the orchard. Depending on the season, you may cross paths with our farm crew and staff in these shared areas who are always happy to share about our active, high-functioning small-scale organic farm. In addition to your private quarters and shared common areas in the FarmStay, we offer guided access/tours around the farm, orchard, hoop houses and field growing areas. These can be arranged by request with the WEI Farm Manager and Co-Host, Jacquelyn. Livestock on the farm includes chickens, honey bees, fish, and red wiggler worms. Access to the surrounding forest trails can provide adventurous hiking opportunities, including following wild deer trails. The nearby region provides active outdoor opportunities including jogging, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, canoeing, downhill skiing, water sliding, kayaking, picnicking and all the amenities offered in nearby Wild River State Park year-round. During your stay If you have any questions prior to your stay, message us through the Airbnb platform. During your stay, Jacquelyn Zita is the main contact and we have additional co-hosts who are available to address your needs. Other things to note WEI MEMBERSHIP VOUCHER: Provides a 10% discount from WEI on your total Airbnb rental fee when you have an active annual membership in the Women's Environmental Institute. You can use the voucher as a discount or for additional items listed below. Vouchers are issued upon check-in. Please inquire with your WEI host for more information. On-site additions for purchase to enhance your farm experience. Are paid for via cash or check upon arrival: FARM TOUR ($30) -- A private guided tour of the surrounding farm, hoop houses, and animals (chickens, honey bees, fish, and red wriggler worms). Availability is dependent on WEI calendar on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays. FARMER FOR A DAY -- a volunteer option for you and your guests ORGANIC PRODUCE -- for sale at the WEI Farm Store when available (price varies). WEI's NORTH CIRCLE ONLINE FARMERS MARKET -- available June through October. You may order online Monday through Wednesday on the week of your FarmStay to pick up your produce on Friday at WEI.
