This delightful home sits in a quiet neighborhood on a ½ acre lot, overlooking Sunset (Neacoxie) Lake. We are equal distance between Seaside and Astoria. You can take a 10 minute walk down the road directly to the beach. Or, it's a 1/3 mile drive right onto the sand. Excellent for a family or two couples. We own and operate a small vacation rental business: Norway Properties LLC. We've been in the vacation rental business for 20 years, and our experience shows. All of our homes are legal, registered vacation rentals. We have 4 vacation rentals in Oregon (all on Airbnb)--the state we were both born in and still love to pieces. Our khomes are all moderately sized, but packed with features, amenities and coziness. People consistently give us excellent reviews and often say our homes are the nicest Airbnb homes that they have experienced. All of our homes are in smaller markets, where there are lots of outdoor, Oregon, activities and we remodel them ourselves. The vaulted living room has a cozy gas fireplace, cable TV and plenty of seating that overlooks the lake across the street. Our kitchen is large enough to cook a big family dinner and we always provide everything you need to be happy while cooking. Including a good variety of appliances, spices, general condiments and simple (but important) things like foil, baggies, and other kitchen “Must Haves”. There’s just nothing more annoying than not having basic necessities while you’re on vacation! Right!? We have a big family, and know you might want to all gather around a good size table for meals or games. You can sit 8 people comfortably. All open to the kitchen and living room, so no one misses out. The back bedroom features a King size bed and a sliding door out to the back deck, where you will see deer on the hill almost daily. Tip! Head out to the deck and sit quietly around sundown, and you’ll likely see them! Often they’ll come right into the yard. Please don’t try to feed them though…we need nature to stay natural. The front bedroom has a queen bed and a small attached bathroom, complete with shower, toilet and sink. The room is compact, but offers a nice view of the lake as well. We raised 5 children, so know what you and your kids want in a vacation house. We always strive to have a “Kids Room” full of fun things for them to do. They will have plenty of space with a Twin/Full bunkbed, and a full trundle as well. Games, books, TV, Xbox, and toys will keep them happy and you relaxed. The main bathroom is a good size with both a shower, and a relaxing jetted tub. Put a movie on for the kiddos and draw a bath, with a nice glass of wine and a candle. Ahhhhhhh The yard is large enough to play games, and run-around, or simply relax around the fire pit and make S’mores! You can sip a glass of wine or coffee while sitting on the front covered porch and watch the wildlife and lake activities. After a long day of play at the beach, you can wash off toys, tootsies and toddlers with the hot/cold hose on the side of the house. This keeps the house and toes all clean. We have a driveway all the way through the property, so if you are hauling a boat, you will have easy time parking. There is plenty of parking on the long driveway. If you have extra-large groups, we own two homes in this quaint, quiet little neighborhood. You can check out the Norway Cottage on Airbnb as well, right down the street, and possibly rent them both. They are about 2 city blocks from each other. If your interested in visiting Central Oregon, please look up our red Crescent Cabin, or Brand New Barndominium in Crescent Oregon Updated front door code will be provided about a week prior to check in. You have complete access to the house and everything in it. We also offer basic sand toys for the kiddos and two beach cruiser bikes so you can take a peddle to the beach or around the cute neighborhood. Full size washer and dryer are also in the laundry room, should you or the kids get a little messy! We handle almost everything online, or via text/email. While we don't mind phone calls, we've found it very easy and quick to communicate via the Airbnb message center, or texting. About a week prior to your arrival, we'll send very detailed instructions, including tips for local attractions. we are happy to answer questions about the area or provide tips. Sunset Beach is a tiny little community outside of Warrenton. It's nestled in between a lake and the ocean and there is a plethora of deer, elk, eagles and other animals to enjoy. There is also a small community park for the little ones. It's a very short walk or drive down to the beach, with 7 to 8 miles in either direction for exploring. Another interesting hike all the way to Fort Clatsop. We are almost equal distance to either Astoria or Seaside so there's lots, and lots of things to do if playing in the sand isn't enough. There are gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants within a few miles. Although the lot is decent size, we do have neighbors, so guests will need to be conscious of noise during quiet times. The North Coast does offer bus service, and there is a bus stop right down the street. You can search for Sunset Empire Transportation and get the details on routes and times. If the following rules are not observed, you could be asked to leave immediately without refund. Our neighbors are full time residents that we respect and they watch our property. No pets/animals allowed. Absolutely NO camping, and NO RVs. No parties or additional guests, beyond what you have submitted. Must be 25 years old to reserve house. No smoking We have a professional cleaning service that comes in after each guest. Our cleaning fees cover the cost of that service only. They are non-negotiable as we strive to always have very clean homes.
