The Bush Camp
The Bush Camp
Description
Welcome to the Bush Camp! The camp is rustic but comfortable, it consists of 2 tents (sleeping 2 each), one kitchen tent with fridge/freezer, stove etc., an outdoor shower and toilet, a fireplace and a Beduine "living room" tent. Our horses roam around the same camp as the camp and you may well get woken by a horses' snort or neigh admits the Hyena and other nightly sounds. The space Tswehe Wildlife Reserve is situated in the heart of the Tuli, Botswana. The reserve is home to the highest peak of the region called Tswehe Hill, which was named after the elusive Mountain Reedbuck with its whistling call echoing ‘tswehe’ from afar. The reserve borders the mighty Limpopo river in the South, where Pels Fishing Owls are abundant, fishing amongst crocodiles and hippos. Heading North through the vast expanse of the reserve, the vegetation changes from thick riverine forest to Savanna woodland, interspersed by rocky outcrops and ancient Baobabs. Tswehe's rich biodiversity provides a paradise for Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Hyena, Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebeest and a host of many antelope and wildlife species. Tswehe Wilderness Reserve is an example of transformative tourism in action, our philosophy promotes a wilderness mindset balancing conservation, communities and a sustainable low-impact travel experience.
