Description
Nestled in forest and meadows, you will stay in a secluded location in a quaint, lovingly newly renovated vacation home on the edge of the forest. Named after the builder, "Hümberts Häuschen" is located in the Ruwer Valley (Hunsrück) and is accessible by car. A parking space is available. This idyllic place is an invitation for everyone looking for peace and relaxation. But also for those who want to explore a scenic region from a quiet vacation spot. The space The interior is divided into a living and dining area with a cozy sofa corner and a dining table under an open roof space. In the front part you will find the fully equipped kitchen, as well as the bathroom with shower and toilet. In the rear demarcated area there is a large double bed (1.60 x 1.60 m). In the colder seasons, a pellet stove with a visible flame provides cozy warmth. In front of the house, a covered sun terrace and a natural green area offer a relaxing stay outdoors. On hot days, there is the possibility to visit a resting bench under trees in the rear shady property area. With a little luck, you will see forest animals feeding at dusk. An oasis of tranquility awaits you in this place, a small house on the edge of the forest in intact nature. In a region that will allow you to drive home relaxed. Other things to note The tourist community of Hentern is about 20 km from Trier, the oldest city in Germany. There you can visit impressive Roman buildings. But a stroll through the cozy pedestrian zone should also be planned. The magnificent Moselle Valley with its world-famous steep slopes can best be explored by boat or bike tour. Countless wine bars invite you to linger. On the beautiful Saar, about 15 km away, lies the tranquil town of Saarburg. There you can marvel at the highest inner-city waterfall in Germany and settle into one of the many small cafes or pubs. Interesting insights into the production of porcelain and the company history of Villeroy & Boch can be gained in their ceramics museum in Mettlach in Saarland, 15 km away. For decades, porcelain in all variations was produced here for the whole world. On this occasion, a visit to the Saarschleife near Mettlach-Orscholz is also worthwhile. But Saarland also has more to offer. The leisure and swimming lake in Losheim am See is definitely worth a detour. Do not miss visits to the neighboring countries of Luxembourg and France, both about 30 km away. Within sight of the vacation home, the "Ruwer-Hochwald-Radweg" [Ruwer-Hochwald-Cycling Path] runs along. This runs on a former railway line through the Ruwer Valley to Trier or Hermeskeil, with connections to cycle paths along the Moselle, Saar or Sauer. Directly next to the vacation home is the premium hiking trail "Ruwer-Hochwald-Schleife," an approximately 13 km long hiking trail with magnificent views over valleys and heights of the Hochwald. Shops for everyday needs can be found in the village of Zerf, three kilometers away. Here you will find supermarkets, medical practices, a pharmacy, banks, etc. In Hentern itself, we recommend going to the Landgasthof Kopp for dinner with good home-style cooking and a nice beer garden. We look forward to seeing you soon!
