Description
The Old Dairy is a traditional barn conversion, not modern but fully of character and furnished for comfort. The location is perfect for scenic country walks and cycling. Miles of trails within easy walking distance, along Ashby Canal and through Donisthorpe Woodland Park. You can also rent bikes at Hicks Lodge, which is a 3 minute drive away. Other local attractions include Moira Furnace (1.6 miles), Conkers (2 miles), Cattows Farm (5.3 miles), and Twycross Zoo (6.2 miles). The space The bedrooms are small and cozy, one with a full size bed and another with two singles, and there are two toilet/shower rooms. The living area is more spacious. The lounge has a TV, a Wii (with games), and a log burning stove. There is also a separate snug with its own TV and DVD player (with DVDs), and a dining area that sits up to 6 people. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads onto the second bathroom, which is a combined utility room and has both a washing machine and tumbler dryer. We have done our best to provide everything you might need to have a comfortable stay, but will also be glad to accommodate any special requests if we possibly can. Guest access The Old Dairy is a self-contained annex. There is a door that connects to the main house, but this remains locked to ensure guest privacy. Therefore, you will have the whole annex to yourself. You will also have your own parking space directly outside the house. If you want to bring two cars, please let us know and we will try to make sure that there are two parking spaces available. Other things to note We are happy to have up to six guests at a time as long as they are all part of the same family. There is no charge for the additional two guests, but unfortunately we do not have any additional beds to offer, so they would need to sleep on the floor or in a travel cot.
