You'll have a relaxing time at this Appalachian mountain cottage nestled right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Front porch sitting to the trickling sounds of nearby Crooked Creek stream. A short scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway you'll find the Blue Ridge Parkway Music Center, Mabry Mill, Meadows of Dan, and much more. A popular attraction just down the mountain is Andy Griffith's hometown of Mt. Airy. Many good hiking and biking trails. The cottage is surrounded by huge rhododendron and mountain Laurel. It's not unusual to see deer walk past the house as you rock on the front porch. creek, fenced dog area, fire pit area alongside creek. My husband and I are available anytime for questions regarding your stay. The cottage is in a quiet private forested setting with a small number of other cottages, mostly seasonal vacation homes. Closest neighbors cannot be seen from the cottage. You can here and see the creek as it meanders past the house. Your short drive off the Blue Ridge Parkway to the cottage will be on gravel roads. There is ample room for vans, cars, etc., even the UPS truck to navigate the roads. At the end of the main road leading to the cottage and along the cottage driveway are areas for turn around. Enjoy the fire pit next to trickling Crooked Creek. There is complimentary firewood at fireside for your convenience as well as two stacks of wood in the backyard should you need more. Outdoor chair cushions available on front porch sette or may be on chairs depending on weather.
