The space While located next to the main house, The Bower has its own entrance, privacy screening, and parking right at your door. We keep our hosting discrete so you can really enjoy the space and your special time, dog lovers may receive some cuddles from Rosie the cosy labrador. . Home to the famous Wollemi pine, Australia's unique "dinosaur tree", unchanged for millions of years. We want your time here to be truly unforgettable. Plan Your Perfect Escape Before you arrive, we’ll share our favourite local experiences: scenic lookouts, bushwalks, bike rides, country drives, the best apple pies, delicious dining spots, and seasonal fruit picking at nearby orchards. Do as much or as little as you like—this is your time. Local hikes around Mountain Lagoon will take you through pristine bush, home to koalas and other wildlife, tree fern lined creeks, waterfalls and spectacular summit views. Use our bikes to ride around the picturesque lagoon, magical at any time of the year. Once you arrive at The Bower you won't want to leave, so bring your food and drinks with you! Cook up a storm on the gas bbq or in the fully equipped kitchen. We also provide Nespresso machine and pods, tea, milk, sugar, oil and condiments. Local cafes and restaurants are at Bilpin, about 20 minutes drive from our place. The nearest supermarket is at Kurrajong Heights. The accommodation is for up to two guests only, as there are no extra sleeping facilities available, and it is not suitable for children aged under ten. The cabin does not include laundry facilities, however guests staying for more than four nights are welcome to access washing and drying facilities in the main house upon request for a small fee. As a pristine natural environment, we ask that you treat the land with respect, limiting loud music and leaving only footprints wherever your adventures lead you. While the cabin is private, it is nestled within gardens that are part of a shared space and residence. As part of our commitment to be responsible custodians of the land, the property is offgrid, solar powered, materials used in our projects are recycled, reclaimed, or sustainably produced. Other things to note You will need a car to get here, there is no public transport, taxis or Uber service to Mountain Lagoon. Mountain Lagoon Road has a well-maintained gravel section before you reach this secluded hamlet. There are no shops, cafes or petrol stations at Mountain Lagoon.
