A charming traditional Scottish cottage, 1of 2 (Nelly’s Hoose) recently renovated to a high standard, including logburners and individually controlled radiators. Lies within the peaceful village of Barr, surrounded by natural beauty. It offers plenty of wildlife, enchanting walks, cycle rides, fishing, golf and picturesque picnic spots. Its central Ayrshire location lends itself to miles of unspoilt beaches, the Galloway Hills and numerous other attractions to suit all tastes and interests The space Enjoy the comforts of this well equipped cosy cottage, with two double bedrooms located on the first floor, each offering a double bed with deep mattresses and electric blankets allowing you to set the temperatures to satisfy your individual needs. There is plenty of storage, including a large cupboard at the top of the stairs to hide away all those extra bags. The bathroom offers an electric shower, sink and toilet. Hot water at the property is heated on demand and is always available. The living area hosts a log burner, for those cosy nights in and a wall mounted smart TV with excellent fibre optic internet connection available throughout the house. The dining room also hosts a log burner, dining table and plenty of additional cupboard space for food. The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, microwave, Air fryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, as well as a washing machine and access to the garden. The extensive rear garden with lawn, mature trees and shrubs, has beautiful unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside. Perfect for alfresco dining. There is a small front garden which catches the morning sun and offers equally beautiful views. Electric car charging is not viable at this property. Guest access Whole property Other things to note Please note that if you are planning on visiting Scotland in the winter months, we do experience low temperatures. I would advise appropriate layered clothing, for inside and out. Whilst there are radiators, a logburner and heated blankets in the Hoose, the Hoose is an 18th century stone building and will not feel as warm as a modern insulated home. The Wee Hoose can be booked for a quick one night stop or longer depending on your requirements. Nelly’s Hoose is right next door and also available for bookings, should you be travelling with friends or family and need a little extra space. Extended stays are also available, providing the perfect getaway from the stresses of day to day life. We have a check out time of 10am. Our welcome pack includes, Dishwasher and laundry tablets, washing up liquid, toilet bleach, cleaning spray and hand wash. Toilet paper, kitchen towel, tea towels and bath towels, bed linen. A starter pack of logs, with kindling, matches and fire starters. Additional logs available from local retail outlets. Whilst at our hooses in Barr we offer excellent internet and mobile phone coverage. Wave mobile, offer phone coverage within the village, completely free.
