An Eagle Nest, by the river bank

This isn’t for the faint hearted. To reach this cocoon of comfort, you’ll need to climb 6 floors using the back staircase, damaged by time, reminiscence of the time of Moulin Rouge… you’ll feel like Christian and Satine… Up there, under the roof of a beautiful Haussmann building, you’ll find a calm space, fully renovated/equipped, bathed in sunlight. You’ll be sleeping on the mezzanine, under the stars, the Eiffel Tower’s light as your lighthouse, reminding u that you’re in Paris, city of love… The space The building is a beautiful Haussmann builging from 1850 and is centrally located on the Seine river bank, facing the Eiffel Tower. The space is an old typical Parisian maid’s room that has been fully renovated in S1 2023. It is completely independent but accessible only by the back staircase (i.e. there is no elevator). The back staircase is typical of those you can find in Haussmann buildings. At the time, they were used by helpers working in the building. They usually have not been renovated for years. I find them very vintage but, be aware, you may find them old and dirty. The space is one room of 13.5 sq.m. with everything inside: - a kitchen corner with everything you need: fridge, oven, sink, cutlery, plates, pans… and an expresso machine of course :) - a bathroom corner with its own sink, mirror, shower, toilet (in addition, you have a guest toilet in the corridor), and a towel heater for your comfort - wardrobes, drawers, as well as a washing machine to wash and dry clothes - a study corner with a desk, a chair and high speed internet - a relaxing bench The bed is on a mezzanine, accessible by a ladder. The bed is only 1.4m x 2m but can fit two persons. Guest access You have exclusive access to the whole space. Other things to note *** IMPORTANT: this space is not suitable for travellers with big luggages because of the 6 flights of stairs to climb *** There is a full time caretaker in the building (in Paris, we call them “concierge”) for your security but also if you need any assistance. They will assist you at check-in. They will give you the key when you arrive, show you the way to the room and the room itself. They can provide cleaning service at a cleaning fee of 15 euros per hour during your stay (not included, you will have to pay to her directly). They will assist you during check-out.
