Private and cosy, with garden view

A peaceful and private space within a family home with a garden view and separate entrance so you can come and go as you wish. We live in a quiet neighbourhood with a place to park your car. All bedding and towels are good quality cotton. The bed is a sofa bed made extra comfortable with a soft mattress topper and fresh cotton linen. Small kitchen and facilities available. Space is for solo travellers or couples but please be aware that bed access is from one side only. The space The guest space is attached to the side of our home and is a light, spacious living area with a large kingsize sofa bed (two single duvets are available on request) and a cosy chair from which you can enjoy the view. The room looks out over our beautiful and lush garden where there is always something to see. Two radiators mean that the space stays warm and cosy but there are always extra blankets and an extra heater if needed to top up the warmth. There is a chest of drawers and hanging rail for clothes storage as well as shelves to store your belongings. Velux skylights can be left open for star gazing or closed using the long pole - we can help with this as it can be tricky to get it right first time. Guests have access to a small kitchenette with crockery, glassware and cutlery. There is a cafetière, ground coffee, tea, and herbal tea. A small fridge sits under the counter stocked with milk. Cooking facilities include a toaster, an Air Fryer, single induction hob, and a kettle. There is a small dining table and two chairs that can fit in the kitchenette area or the main room. For groceries, you can visit a small Morrisons which is a 5 minute walk away and a delicious bakery (Lilac Bakery) just down the road making arguably the best croissants in Exeter! The bathroom has a good shower with plenty of hot water - please make sure to turn the water on to full when having a shower and use the bathroom fan for the best experience. If you are bringing a child as your extra guest, please let us know. Thank you. Guest access The guest space is attached to our 1930s home but has it's own gated access and there is a space to park your car on the drive while you are staying with us. One of us will aim to meet and greet you when you arrive, but otherwise you can access the guest space using the lock box key. Within the space, areas behind the yellow curtain/fire door is not available to guests. There is no garden access for guests at present. *Arrival time Arrivals on Tuesday and Thursday arrival are from 5pm Arrival on other days is from 3pm. Other things to note This is a spacious, light and comfortable space for 1-2 guests. Just a reminder that you will be sleeping on a comfortable sofa bed with topper mattress for extra comfort. Single duvets are available on request. No pets please
