Island View Glamping is based along the Lecale shores of County Down soaking in the beautiful surrounding area of the Irish Sea, Guns Island, Mourne Mountains, Dromara Hills & Isle of Man. This unique self-catering pod, is ideal for couples, or anyone wanting a place to reconnect with the important things in life, watching the sun melt into the Irish Sea in a blaze of orange glory, crashing waves and the starriest of night skies in a luxurious and snug interior. The perfect escape! The space This luxury glamping pod has been carefully designed and perfectly positioned to capture stunning views of the coastline and island view. Inside, you’ll find a double bed with an award-winning Emma Sleep Mattress, dressed with crisp cotton bed linen from the Angel Strawbridge Chateau range and a choice of pillows for the perfect night’s sleep. Outside Space Relax in the large garden area, surrounded by fields and a long stretch of shoreline waiting to be explored. A few things to note: Honeybees live at the rear of the garden (away from the pod). My friendly Labrador Cooper lives at the property, he’s very friendly & extremely nosey too! The pod sits on the edge of a working dairy farm, so you might spot the local cows being herded twice a day “our version of rush hour”! Nearby Adventures Ballyhornan Beach – a short walk away, with sandy shores, cliffs, and even a nearby island to explore. Perfect for wild swims, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Cable Bar – just 5 minutes’ walk Killard Nature Reserve – 10 minutes on foot, rich in wildlife, wild orchids, and unique rock formations at the mouth of Strangford Lough. Davey’s Fish & Chip Shop – a local favourite (and filming location for Derry Girls, Season 2, Episode 6). Guest access The pod includes private parking for up to two cars. Please note, access is via 3 steps from the parking area, so unfortunately the pod is not suitable for wheelchair users. Other things to note No dogs allowed. No Hot Tub (Irish Sea is on your doorstep)
