Welcome to the Jardin de Marie Guest House Located just 2 hours south of Paris, between Bourges (European capital of culture in 2028) and the charming wine-growing village of Sancerre, our Guest House welcomes you in the heart of a magnificent landscaped garden of almost 2 hectares, known as "The Garden of Mary". We are ideally located near the Château de La Croix and the Château de Sens Beaujeu and a few kilometers from the pottery village of La Borne. The space Located on the ground floor of the House, the double bedroom with an area of ​​approximately 18 m² has a lovely view of the garden. Equipped with a large double bed, King Size, the room is composed of a walk-in shower room and toilet. The cork insulation and the thickness of the building's walls guarantee natural freshness in summer and gentle warmth in winter. The glass door and large window allow you to enjoy the garden view and sunrise directly from your room. This room is particularly suitable for seniors looking for easy access to their room. Bed linen, towels and bath mats, as well as complimentary toiletries (shower gel, shampoo and conditioner), and beds made up on arrival are all included in our rates. This allows you to travel light and enjoy your stay from the moment you arrive. A courtesy tray with everything you need to enjoy a coffee or tea, accompanied by biscuits, is offered to help you start the day gently. Breakfast or a more substantial meal can be provided at an additional cost. These may be enjoyed either in your room or in the garden. > Breakfast basket – €12 per person: Mini pastries, bread, butter, jam, garden coffee, tea, fruit juice, a dairy product and garden honey. > Table d’hôtes “Berrichonne Speciality” – €28 per person (drinks not included): The famous pâté aux trûches, a traditional pâté en croûte made with a filling of potatoes, cream and fresh herbs, served with a green salad. This is followed by a piece of Crottin de Chavignol goat’s cheese, and finished with a sweet treat. Guest access Parking Access : Free parking: up to 60 cars and coaches Bicycle parking: 15 spaces Accessible parking: 1 reserved space (at the entrance to the garden) Access to the Guests House : All ground-floor bedrooms have independent entrances directly from the garden, offering great flexibility and a welcome level of privacy for our guests. Unlimited Access to the Garden : The landscaped park of the Jardin de Marie is open to outside visitors from May to October. However, guests staying at the gîte enjoy unlimited access to the entire Garden, including dedicated areas where they can stroll and enjoy exclusive use of the surrounding nature to relax, even during public opening hours (Thursday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Upon request, it is also possible to privatise the entire Garden for private events. Discover our Café de Campagne : Located in the barn, our Café de Campagne and its terrace are open to the public during the warmer months. We offer light meals and refreshments, allowing our guests to dine and unwind in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Coffee Roasted on Site : During your stay, we also invite you to discover our on-site coffee roastery. Immerse yourself in the world of coffee by learning the secrets of the roasting process. A unique experience designed to awaken your senses and enrich your stay with us. During your stay Le Jardin de Marie was taken over at the end of 2021 by Boris, Jessica and their little Juliette, a Parisian family, from the culinary world, with the idea of ​​bringing gastronomy to the heart of the garden. Our goal is to create a place of relaxation where the pleasures of the table blend harmoniously with the serenity of nature. We are on site most of the time and available if you wish to meet us. A unique sensory experience not to be missed. * Wooden ster: for a warm evening by the fire, opt for a wooden ster delivered to the gîte to fuel your wood stove and create a cozy atmosphere. Local products from our garden: we are proud to offer our customers local products sourced wherever possible from our garden and from regional producers. You can taste our homemade honey, fresh eggs from our chickens, as well as seasonal fruits and vegetables picked directly from our garden. An authentic and tasty way to discover the flavors of our region during your stay with us. Furthermore, our lodge is committed to promoting sustainable and responsible tourism.
