Casa San Clemente is ideal for those looking for a quiet place in nature to relax after enjoying the beauty of the lake and surroundings. The inn founded in the 19th century is located in an enchanting place, among centuries-old chestnut trees, tall ash trees, cherry trees, elder trees, where you can enjoy spectacular starry sky. An excellent strategic point to reach Milan by train, avoiding traffic, parking and high overnight costs. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace with our fantastic honey. The space For absolute privacy and independence we have dedicated a delightful ensuite room with private entrance; a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore and Lake Varese can be enjoyed from the balcony. The room is a small love nest, it has just been renovated but maintains its ancient charm. Guests can freely use the garden and terrace both for meals and to relax and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Detached from the room, the kitchen is fully equipped with induction plates, refrigerator, microwave oven, wood stove, cutlery, glasses, plates, and everything necessary to prepare your own meals. Guest access Casa San Clemente can be reached by car and small vans through a country road on the top of the hill, but also on foot (40 minutes) or by bicycle from the nearby train stations that connect it to Milan and other Italian cities. We are close to Malpensa International Airport. During your stay Casa San Clemente is our usual residence and we will normally be present upon arrival. We will be happy to share information and suggestions to better enjoy the place, nested among the lake, mountains and historic centers! Other things to note A few minutes by car: beaches, cultural, sports and gastronomic attractions. We are at 10-minute drive from Laveno, where you can take the ferry to the Borromean Islands, Stresa or Intra, the gateway to the highest peaks of the Alps. In a few minutes by car you can reach the best beaches and restaurants of Lake Maggiore and Lake Varese, but also historical sites such as the hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, the Rocca di Angera, Villa Bozzolo. The city of Varese with its historic villas and the modern art collection of Villa Panza are 30 minutes away, as are the shores of Lake Lugano or Lake Orta. For those who love outdoor activities: various hiking paths start from the house towards the nearby villages connected to a network of cycle/pedestrian paths. There is a the rock gym at few bends below the house, ideal in winter and spring. The more adventurous can try paragliding or hang-gliding from the nearby Picuz or Monte Crocetta cliffs.
