The Old Betting Office ! * Pet friendly *

Grandad built this for use as a betting office in the early 60's, he was the only known bookie anywhere near the village and could tell us all few tales from his customers who spent all day there smoking and spending. Then in 90's it got converted to an old fashioned hairdresses (purple rinses and perms) and been unused for many years until now. Weve tried to keep some character, still a few jobs to finish but gone through a full modernisation! Open plan, 1 double, 1 single, 1 pull out & Sofa The space Who needs a whole building all to yourself when you go away? Get up, cup of tea, nice breakfast, tv on and plan for the rest of the day. No neighbours...apart from me, im in the deatched house next door but im no bother. I dont bite! Open plan living with double, single, pull out bed and sofa. Dining table, seperate kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower. All you need for a long or short stay with the comfort of your own fenced front garden for pets and children. We have the Trans penine trail behind us ideal for walking and cycling enthusiasts and happy to provide our very secure garage at the rear to store any equipment. This is also covered by our CCTV and Norma will keep a close eye! We are surrounded by fields and nature for dog walking or sightseeing but close enough to most supermarkets, shops and Town Centre is a 5min taxi and 20 minute walk. Town Centre has gone through a full modernisation, pubs, clubs, eateries and Barnsley is now becoming one of the top spot nights out. Botanist, Salt House, Market Kitchen, Italian, cimemas, bowling, shopping, theatre productions, staged performances are more regular and attracting visitors from afar. We also have a few dog walkers and boarders across the road or nearby thats more than happy to assist should you have a wedding or event and dont want to leave the dogs at home. Guest access The front garden, drive and obviously the betting office! Other things to note Ive 3 dogs and the naughty one is Norma (shes on the pics) lol, were from a farming family so all pets, animals and dogs are part of our family and know how important it is for them to travel with you. We have canaries, quails, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and even breeding our own flock of pheasants to release them back to the wild.
