Enjoy a stay in this beautifully presented cottage in the historic village of Tutbury. Crown Cottage has been lovingly restored, retaining all the charm and grandeur of the Edwardian period. Located within the village conservation area, Crown Cottage is within a stroll of Tutbury castle and the High street, with its smart independent shops, quirky bars and restaurants. It's perfect for a romantic stay, ideally located for business travellers or a great base to enjoy the many local attractions. The space High ceilings, period features, beautiful decoration, and quirky furnishings! The house has a large and well equipped kitchen, along with a separate dining room which has views over the courtyard. The bedrooms are fabulous! The master bedroom is spacious and beautifully decorated, with views of Tutbury Castle, and Tutbury church. The double bedroom is cosy with views over the garden. Outside the garden is quiet and a perfect space for relaxing. A special feature of the house is the window seating in the lounge with views of Tutbury Castle and peacocks wandering past! 🦚🦚🦚 The house is just a 2 minute walk from Tutbury High street, which has a host of independant shops and cafes. There is a fantastic selection of 9 independent pubs, cocktail bars and bistros along with a micro brewery within the village, all are less than a 5 minute walk from the house, many hold live music events at the weekends. Tutbury High street holds special events throughout each year.... There are 3 artisan markets during the year, each with up to 60 stalls and live music from local bands. "Tap into Tutbury" is a fabulous celebration of our independant pubs. Held over a weekend in May there is a "beer trail" and live music at several venues. "Tutbury Open Gardens" is held over a weekend in June, access is available to 30 local gardens, many serving home made cakes and drinks - its a wonderful way to enjoy the village. "Mods and Minis" is held on the High Street in July - this amazing unique event brings together classic and modern Minis, and Lambretta scooters, along with live music and fancy dress competitions - over 100 Minis and 400 Lambretta scooters fill the High street and surrounding car parks. Tutbury gin festival is held in August. Hosted by Tutbury bowls club a huge range of gins are on offer along with wood fired pizzas and live music Ibiza classic nights are held at at Tutbury cricket club - hopefully with a warm evening to complement great music "Tutbury Christmas Light Festival" is held on the High Street at the end of November - entertainment, a DJ, live reindeer, Santa, market stalls, fairground rides and a firework finale round off the year of fantastic events on Tutbury High Street.
