Local herdsman Ochir and his wife Tsegi will welcome you in their traditional home "ger". The ger is located at the heart of beautiful Orkhon Valley near the Orkhon river. You will see and experience the authentic lifestyle of herders. This place provides unique opportunities to slow down and connect with nature. You can participate in the nomadic life as much or as little as you’re interested in. Tsegi's hearty, home-cooked meals are included. Activities can be seen on Guest access. The space It's part of the World heritage Orkhon valley cultural landscape. The area is mountainous with Orkhon river running through the middle. It is peaceful and relaxing. Please note that some activities are seasonal: - Hike the surrounding mountains or forests - Engage in daily herder life such as milking mares, fencing sheep, making aaruul/curds - Cook Mongolian meals together - See the traditional (distilled) alcohol preparation Charged separately: - Horseback riding ($20 per hour) - 2-3 hour horse trekking to near cascade ($20 per hour) - Explore historical sightseeings in Bat-Ulzii territory ($20) - Drive to nearby towns: Khujirt/ Bat-Ulzii/ Kharkhorin-Erdenezuu ($20-30) Seasonal dairy foods are offered such as yogurt, dried curds and airag (fermented mare milk).
