Comfy Keystone Hideaway
Comfy Keystone Hideaway
Description
A cozy and comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring beautiful Central Oregon. Far enough from town to be out in the country yet close to Redmond, Sisters, Bend and other scenic areas. Smith Rock State Park is close by with climbing and hiking. The property is a small ranch with cats, dogs and horses. Across the street is BLM land for hiking. There are deer and quail about frequently and the sunsets are amazing. The space This is a 27 ft 5th wheel travel trailer so small but very comfortable. It is located in the front of the property and across the driveway from the main house. The front has a queen bed. There is plenty of space for hanging garments as well as shelves and drawers for clothing. There is a shower, sink with mirror and toilet in the front bedroom area. There is also a sliding door that will close off the bed/ bath area from the rest of the space. In the main living area there is a kitchen with propane stove, propane oven, refrigerator, freezer and microwave. There are a number of small appliances, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils and glasses for cooking and eating. The table in the sitting area will drop down into a bed. Might be a bit short for a tall person but is comfortable place to sleep. There is a TV for movies. Please note there is no TV service. There is also a CD player for music. The radio picks up a number of stations for music. The two recliners are very comfortable for relaxing or a nice afternoon nap. There are stairs up to the front door. The stairs are sturdy and there is a rail on the side to use. Guest access This is a small ranch. There are 4 dogs, 2 cats and 5 horses here. All are friendly. The dogs will bark and lick you to death, though I do try to keep them in the yard when guests are present. They let me know when we have company. The horses are in the back of the property. Please do not pet or feed them. While they love attention, they are also very large and can be a bit overwhelming to those who aren't around horses all the time. I am happy to introduce you so I can make sure they mind their manners. I do not allow pets only because I would hate to have any issues considering the other animals and wildlife on the property. You will see me out doing my chores and riding on occasion. Other things to note Hwy 97 runs through Terrebonne making it easy to get to your sightseeing destination. It's 1.5 miles to 97 and Terrebonne. There are some restaurants in town, an Oliver Lemon's grocery and deli, a Chevron gas station, hardware and post office. You can check out the guidebook for some additional information. To give an idea of distances here are some destinations of interest: Redmond- 5.5 miles south Bend- 21 miles south Sisters- 17 miles west Smith Rock State Park- 3.8 miles east Shaninko, ghost town- 60 miles north east The Dalles- 87 miles north High Desert Museum- 30 miles south Painted Hills, John Day Fossil Beds Monument- 72 miles north east There are many places to hike, fish and kayak. I have collected a number of booklets and flyers for the area listing all the different things to do and see. It is beautiful here and the hope is you will come back because you won't get to see it all. Due to fire hazard, there is no smoking, no fire pit and no outdoor barbeque.
