Welcome to “On The Rocks”, a lakeside Adirondack retreat with room for the entire extended family! Relax and enjoy the best sunset view and mountain scenery on Piseco lake with private access to over 200 feet of lakefront. You'll love the peaceful atmosphere located on a quiet side road in the town of Piseco. This private 5+ bedroom lake house is the perfect family rental. Sit lakeside on the new porch overlooking the water or cozy up by the fireplace in the living room on a chilly night. You will be the sole occupants of the entire property during your stay. ✔Booking for 7+ people allows access to the upstairs bedrooms as well! This is our version of paradise - A year round rustic camp with modern amenities. We recently purchased this home and have updated the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, porch and living room. We have big plans to further update this space and always have an upgrade in progress! We plan to enlarge this bathroom and enclose the sink in it as part of a larger upstairs renovation! We also own another property like this on the lake so let me know if you need extra room and I can send the link to that property! After enjoying an afternoon on the lake, our fully equipped kitchen is the perfect spot to prepare a family dinner. Not in the mood to cook? No worries! Our favorite restaurant, The Oxbow Inn, is located less than 5 miles away. Drive or snowmobile there! They have a wonderful menu but with a large group, takeout pizza is alway a hit! We are 15 minutes to the town of Speculator and Oak Mountain ski area. Speculator has a wide variety of small businesses, shops, restaurants, an ice cream stand, diners, gas station, grocery store/all purpose store, laundromat and a small brewery/barroom. Check out our guidebook for more details! The lake is right outside the house and is quite shallow which is perfect for kids and adults to wade in but parts are very rocky. We do not allow anyone to jump off of the dock as it is too shallow and large rocks can be right under the water's surface. We do not recommend bringing a motor boat to the dock. We do have 2 canoe's and 2 kayaks that are available for guest use! We have a brand new Weber grill on the deck for guest use. Our new Adirondack chairs are lined up along the lake shore for your enjoyment. There is no better place to have coffee, read a book, or just relax and listen to nature. Late checkout request: If you would like to request a late check out please ask in advance - we are sometimes able to accommodate ONLY if we do not have another guest checking in. We will notify you the day prior to checkout if we can accommodate. You may also inquire about renting an extra night to ensure a late check out is available. As mentioned, we are always working on upgrades to this camp but we will not be working on it while you are renting it. Please excuse the unfinished siding on one part of the house as it is currently being replaced with stone! Seasonal items to note - Docks are usually put in sometime in June depending on weather and availability. You can still use the kayaks and canoes without the dock as they are put in and taken out on the shore. Docks are usually gradually taken out in September-October depending on weather and availability. A Christmas tree is usually put up on porch during Thanksgiving time and taken down in January. Guest access You have access to the entire house with the exception of a few "owner closet" type spaces. Other things to note There is limited to no cell service around the lake but you can use the "wifi calling" setting on your cell phone to make calls and send/receive text messages etc. We will make sure you have the wifi password before you arrive!
