In a quaint hillside building overlooking Lake Michigan, this cozy bed-and-breakfast offers stunning lake views, complete with gorgeous sunsets, from the sunroom, decks, and sprawling English garden. Less than a mile from Lions Park Beach and one mile from the shops and restaurants of downtown St. Joseph. The Sunset Room features a king bed, your own private view of the sunset from the lakeview balcony, gas fireplace, and private bathroom with bath/shower combo. The space The Sunset Room is one of only two rooms at South Cliff Inn that has a lakeview balcony, offering you a private view of the sunset over Lake Michigan. It has a king bed, indoor and outdoor sitting area, electric fireplace, tv, and a private bathroom with tub/shower combo. If you can tear yourself away from the view in your room, South Cliff Inn features numerous indoor and outdoor areas lovingly crafted for relaxing and playing, whether that means finding a cozy spot to take advantage of one of the many games, puzzles, and magazines, or taking in the views with a refreshing drink in hand. The outdoor areas are sure to be a highlight of your trip. While enjoying the view from the sunset deck right on the bluffs of Lake Michigan, it's easy to lose track of time. Beautiful blooms in the English garden complement your private oasis for much of the year. Throughout the sprawling backyard, there is an abundance of handcrafted, comfortable furniture, perfect for taking in the view or a good book. That said, the indoor guest areas are not to be ignored. With original stained glass windows, electric fireplace, cable tv, and a coffee table holding plenty of games and puzzles, the living room is equally suited for solo or social activities. The dining and sun rooms look out on the backyard, providing outstanding views of beautiful Lake Michigan regardless of the weather or season. A mini-fridge and Keurig machine is provided for guests, with plenty of tea and coffee options. Numerous tables are available for eating, playing cards, or socializing over a drink. All 7 bedrooms have a private bathroom, queen or king bed, and electric or gas fireplace. Walk downtown to enjoy local beaches, shops, and restaurants, or visit over a dozen wineries and breweries with less than a 20 minute drive. Guest access Guests have access to their room, with private bathroom, smart TV, and basic amenities. They also can relax in any of the common areas, including a well-equipped living room, dining room, and sunroom. Outdoors, there is an attached deck, English garden, and sunset deck, all with plenty of seating. Enjoy the unobstructed view of Lake Michigan from the bluff, or walk less than a mile to swim at Lions Park Beach. Generally, there is no access to the kitchen or laundry room, as breakfast and fresh linens are provided by your innkeepers, Daniel and Allison. However, special accommodations can be discussed for group rentals of the whole property. Other things to note - Keys: room keys also work on the front door. The front door auto-locks, so please take your room key with you when leaving. There will be a $60 fee for each lost key - Decks: when there is ice/freezing rain, please stay off the decks - Kitchen: except for whole property rentals, the kitchen is not available to guests. There is a mini-fridge in the suites (Admiral, Sunset, and Study) and there is a mini-fridge in the dining room for guests to use - Pets: We cannot accommodate guest pets at our inn. Please contact us for recommendations on pet boarding in the area if you will be traveling with your pets - Furniture: Please don't move furniture in the common areas without prior approval. If you move furniture in your room, please move it back to its original spot before checking out - Toilets: Do not flush anything other than toilet paper
