Retreat from the busy day-to-day at our beloved Dreamwood House! Nestled in the trees along a quiet waterfront road, this contemporary cottage offers modern comforts while letting you unwind in the gorgeous Frontenac region. Fully winterized, Dreamwood is open year round. Access to Bobs Lake is a short stroll down the road, and a public boat launch is just a 5 minute drive away. There's something here for everyone - hiking trails, stargazing, fishing, or lazy days on the canoe and by the fire. The space Spacious and filled with amenities both inside and out, this is a place where your family and friends can enjoy quality downtime, adventures across the road at Bobs Lake, and outings in nearby cottage-country communities. Enjoy the recent updates we've made, including a cozy fireplace, auto-transfer backup generator, outdoor dining area with BBQ, firepit area for roasting s'mores, and even an arcade game zone! Three bedrooms (with king bed, double bed, and twin-over-double bunk) and two full bathrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 7 guests. For any babies coming along there is a pack n play crib, though kindly note the house is not baby-proofed. We offer board games, DVDs, binoculars for bird watching, snowshoes, several life jackets, a canoe (kept at our lake access point), and stand-up paddle board. For your convenience and comfort, bedding and bath towels are provided. WiFi is available. The kitchen also includes a Keurig coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, and dishwasher. Ample parking is available on site and can accommodate a boat and trailer. The public boat launch is only 5 minutes from the cottage. If fishing is your pleasure you will find Bobs Lake offering a variety of species including Bass, monster Pike, large Crappie, Lake Trout, Whitefish, Walleye, Perch and other panfish. If you are interested in fishing for world-class Bass or Walleye, please inquire about a full fishing guiding service at a lake close to the cottage (only 30 minutes away). Nearby in the region you'll find the extensive K&P Trail, numerous lakes for boating and exceptional fishing, beaches, and charming cafes, restaurants, and shops. - 3.5 hrs from Montreal (3 from some off-island areas) - 3.25 hrs from Toronto (2.5 from some GTA areas) - 1.5 hrs from Ottawa or Brockville - 60 min from Kingston - 45 min from Perth (Canadian Tire, Tesla Supercharger) - 15 min from Sharbot Lake (grocery, firewood, cafe, pharmacy, post office) Guest access You're welcome to enjoy the complete property, although there is a small storage area where we keep supplies & off-season equipment. The house includes the main floor with bedrooms and bathrooms and the main living area, while the basement offers arcade games and foosball table. You'll also see the region's bedrock exposed in areas of the basement which is a fascinating and unique aspect. Other things to note We truly want you to enjoy your stay but please be sure to note that as stated in our house rules, parties are absolutely not permitted. And we require that only registered guests stay on the property overnight.
