Domaine de Montintin – La Pommeraie

At the end of a small country road next to the Fayat forest, you will reach the entrance to the Montintin estate around a 19th century castle. The "La Pommeraie" gîte is a farmhouse that opens onto a completely independent lawn enclosed by walls. Trails allow you to discover the estate or to walk around the large pond located below the castle. Feel free to ask any questions! The space Welcome to this gîte, completely renovated in 2023, designed to organize large families, cousins, birthdays and any time of reunion! On the ground floor: > A warm dining kitchen, with its large table made to measure in the Montintin carpentry workshop. It can accommodate 16 people and will be an ideal place to share warm moments around the preparation of meals or a big snack after a nice walk! > A large living room, with its windows open to the garden, its small reading corner near the wood stove, its sofas ready to welcome you for an aperitif... and its table with the ideal dimensions to start a board game! It is super warm, between the herringbone parquet that we had made to measure (always in our carpentry workshop), the stove whose wood is offered to you, the soft colors of the walls and the decor that we have found in the flea markets around... and our family attics! A shower room & toilet are on the same level. Accessible by a few steps: > 1 bedroom with its 2 single beds 90 cm (can be pushed together to form a double bed), > 1 bedroom with shower room and toilet (2 single beds 90 cm (can be pushed together to form a double bed). These 2 bedrooms are separated by a staircase, in the blue color of the family house, which leads to 2 bedrooms upstairs. > Each of them has 2 beds of 90 cm (which can be pushed together to form a king size bed) and a bathroom with toilet. > The bedroom with an alcove (which can house our crib) also has a bathtub. At the other end of the farmhouse, accessible by a staircase also custom designed between the living room & the kitchen, you access 2 bright bedrooms, stone walls & exposed beams. > Each has its own large bathroom & toilet, one of them also has a bathtub! > The beds are, as you have understood, single beds of 90 cm, which we often bring together to form king size beds of 180 cm. In the small independent house: > On the ground floor: lounge with billiards, TV and large sofas. This is the only place where you will find the internet, we wanted this place to be dedicated to reunions & therefore to disconnecting. > By a narrow spiral staircase, you will access the floor: 2 attic bedrooms, with stone walls & warm colors. 3 single beds (90 cm) that can be pushed together. > A bathroom with toilet. Electric heating (not included) in all rooms & wood offered for the living room stove. Other things to note Electric heating is in addition (depending on consumption). We read the meter together on arrival & departure. We put this organization in place after finding (many times) the radiators on full blast... and the windows open😱. We offer 7 bedrooms with double or single beds and 1 bedroom with 1 single bed. Wi-Fi is available but we don't have fiber optics. The connection can be slow. The park is closed from 7 p.m. We welcome our four-legged friends, but 1 at a time :) The house has an enclosed garden, but the property is shared with other gites: it is therefore essential to never leave it unattended and to pay attention to other tenants. In addition, we thank you for picking up their droppings.
