Welcome to Santuario Avalon, a Holistic Retreat Center with a lush forested garden, lotus ponds and winding paths where one can find a tranquil and safe sanctuary. Come find refuge in one of our 5 uniquely designed casitas. Casa Satori is a Japanese style house where simplicity, beauty, quality, and comfort are seamlessly integrated. The space Casa Satori is a one of a kind one bedroom casita. The floors and ceiling beams are of natural wood with sliding rice paper doors that separate the bedroom and bathroom from the main lounge/kitchen area. A glass walled mini-zen garden for meditation separates the bedroom from the bathroom which boasts a teak sink as well as a stone and glass shower. The kitchenette has a small fridge with water boiler and volcanic rock sink. The bedroom has a very comfortable Queen bed with a magnificent view of Tepozteco Mouuntain through the large glass doors of the house. Screens, sun blocking blinds keeps the morning sun out and a anti-mosquito UV light to keep the evening mosquitoes away. Take quiet walks along the winding paths, enjoy your morning smoothie or coffee by the lotus pond, enjoy a cool swim in the Cenote-inspired pool relax in the shade of one of several hammocks nestled under an umbrella of leafy vines. Guest access Access to the garden and pool is limited when we are fully booked. Wifi is available in most areas of the property Other things to note We follow Tepoztlan’s and Airbnb’s enhanced safety and cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: - We sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob - We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. - We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists - We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay - We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines such as social distancing, wearing a mask in public spaces, using hand sanitizer and the disinfectant mask - At this time ONLY registered guests and staff have access to the property, no one from the outside is permitted to visit or stay over night. WE DO NOT PROVIDE PARKING so please do not ask to park in the garage. Street parking next to Avalon is available. To date none of our clients have had issues with street parking as the neighborhood is family oriented and quite safe. Spiders and scorpions are around hiding under rocks and in crevasses they can sting if disturbed but are not lethal. Shake your shoes before putting them on and look in the bottom of drawers or under bags or other dark places before sticking your hands in.
