At the gateway to the magical East Cape region of Tairāwhiti, 45 minutes north of Gisborne city in a a quintessential small New Zealand town from another era. Stay a little off-grid yet with electricity, essential amenities, a generous deck, sunsets over surrounding hills and cows, horses and sheep as your neighbours. Your peaceful sanctuary! The space A compact new transportable home set on a quarter of an acre of land with another vacant quarter acre at the back and unobstructed views at beautiful farmland and a distant glimpse of the cliffs. Double bedroom with queen bed and a second bunk room giving multiple sleeping and accommodation options for up to four adults or a family. Open plan living area with new kitchen, dining and sofa. Shower is spacious. Off-the-grid in terms of wifi (but you can hotspot) yet fully powered, gas hot water and all amenities. Bring your book, rediscover board games. This is simple relaxing living in a special paradise. Guest access The land is accessible and flat with multiple places to park cars. The section is level but there are 4-5 steps up onto the deck to enter the house. Access is through a lockbox, instructions will be given when you book. Other things to note All bedding and towels provided. Composting of any food wastes is strongly encouraged, a cream coloured composting bin sits on the kitchen counter and the large compost is a black bin located is at the back fence line of the property. All properties in Tolaga Bay are on septic so don't flush sanitary products (instructions in bathroom), like all Tolaga properties, the house has a rain water tank, so conserve water. The water is good to drink. Macerating toilet, water pump and LPG powered water heater will make sounds, this is normal and don't be alarmed. There is no wifi, but you can hot-spot this if you have unlimited data on your phone plan.
