You won’t want to leave this "Shang-Ri-La"! Dragonfly is a gated 86 acre resort for you to enjoy. Our private 6 acre lake has a boat dock with loungers and a swim dock in the lake. We provide canoes, kayaks & paddleboats for guest to use. Our own hiking trails start just outside your door. Come relax, hike, swim, boat & fish all while staying in an apartment style luxurious suite. Our beautiful locale offers 3 State Parks, hiking, biking trails, clear float streams and kayaking all nearby. Our Dragonfly-Sweet is a lakeview, apartment style suite in the nicely furnished walk-out of the Main Inn. Two full baths, a billiards room with wood burning FP, wet bar, mini frig, microwave, TV sitting room & large custom bath with a very Romantic Queen Bedroom that features adjoining luxury, jacuzzi bath, Euro style towel rack, double vanity, and gas FP. Hot tub, lakeside patio, hiking, and boating adventures await outside your door. Entire lower level apartment with 2 baths, outdoor patios, boat/ swim docks and hot tub are provided for the Dragonfly-Sweet Guests. You will enjoy the billiards room just down the hall from your romantic Dragonfly ensuite which includes a TV lounge area, coffee/ microwave station, wet bar, large sized mini frig and accoutrements. A continental style breakfast is included in your package with a choice of items on the menu. One of our most requested menu items is the "Sinfully Delicious" cinnamon roll when available. I will also be reachable at my cell # which will be provided upon booking. Dragonfly-In Resort is nestled on the side of Taum Sauk Mt in the beautiful Arcadia Valley. Some of Missouri's most beautiful State Parks are within a few miles of our Inn. Johnson Shut-Ins, Elephant Rock, Taum Sauk( Missouri's highest peak is just around the bend), Shepherd Mt Bike Park, numerous hiking trails and adventures await. Our Black River is one of the clearest and most popular float streams; while the St Francis River is Missouri's only true white water river where we host the annual MO White Water Championships in Mid-March each year. Ironton, our closest town is only 3 miles away and boast an array of mouth watering Mom & Pop restaurants, Music festivals , Farmer's Market and eclectic shopping opportunities. Wineries abound with many only a short distance from the Inn. Our guests often tell us they need to stay longer and come more often to see and do all the area has to offer. We are blessed with a plethora of natures beauty all around us. Our private lake and hiking trails await right outside your door. Generally speaking you will need your own vehicle as we are in a rural area. However we also have an Amtrak that stops just 3 miles from the resort in Ironton . We are most happy to pick you up for a stay with us. there really is no need to leave as our resort is quite a lovely place to hike, swim, boat, fish and relax. I am happy to do market shopping for you. Our chamber does run a shuttle at specific times during the high season but it is not always available. We are still working on the private lighted pathway to give our guests a totally private entrance to the Dragonfly-Sweet. For now guest will have access from the main entrance. The stairs down to the suite/apartment are just inside the front foyer. A door code will be provided. Guest may also take a short walk around to the back of the Inn if desire to have a private entrance. Your private entrance is easily accessible during daylight hours at this time. We provide ample marked guest parking areas in the front of the Inn. Sorry but the Inn is not handicapped accessible at this time
