San Telmo is one of the oldest neighborhood of Buenos Aires, preserving old buildings and street layouts famous for their charm. It is an area of cafés, antique shops, cobblestone alleys, filled on weekends with artists and dancers, and many tourists. The apartment is very close to several public transportation and within a walking distance to many to many touristic attractions like Casa Rosada, Avenida de Mayo, Puerto Madero or the nearby parks! It is really very safe: a walk alone during the nights returning from Milongas where I dance tango. In the evenings, “the city that never sleeps” is open to concerts, shows, theaters, cinemas, casinos, discos, coffee-shops and pubs that make visitors stay up until the small hours.
