Guest room in the countryside

In a small hamlet away from all nuisances, you will enjoy a pleasant room with double bed, wardrobe and small desk. Shower room and toilet are private. Optional organic and homemade breakfast (€10 per adult). In addition, a second bedroom is available upstairs (€48 extra, €35 if one person only). The surroundings allow for beautiful walks (the forest is 50 m away) and interesting visits (Cluny...). The space The Compass Rose house has been converted into part of an old farmhouse. It overlooks the small hamlet of La Bombie and offers a magnificent view of the Grosne Valley. The hilly environment is divided between the meadows lined with hedges where cows and sheep graze, and the forests that offer beautiful walks... Recently, the house has been largely renovated, with a strong ecological focus: creation of a phyto-purification for wastewater (planted filters), exterior insulation in recycled cardboard wool and local Douglas fir cladding, ecological interior renovations (lime-hemp plaster body, clay plaster, lime wash...). The garden, which was a wasteland a handful of years ago, is gradually revealing the richness of its biodiversity. It aims to be creative, productive, soothing, abundant, fragrant, buzzing, exuberant, rejuvenating... :-D It is also listed by the French League for the Protection of Birds as an LPO garden-refuge. Guest access You will have access to your private space from the old barn, which has become a large "living room". It is at your disposal and warmly furnished: sofa, armchairs, tables, library, games library... In summer, it stays cool, but in winter it is not necessarily heated (wood stove). This room is shared, in the sense that it serves as a passage to the floor if needed. As soon as the weather permits, you will also have access to the terrace, you can relax in the deckchairs, explore the garden promenade... On request, the kitchen can be made available to warm up a meal in the evening, or to cook if your stay is more than two nights. Dishes are available for your arrival picnics. On request (a few days in advance), I can offer you a vegetarian meal, with garden produce and everything organic. Breakfast is served on the terrace when the weather permits, otherwise it is served in the old barn. It is an all-organic "French" breakfast with hot drinks and homemade sourdough bread, butter, jams. Please report any intolerances or specific wishes. In Dompierre-les-Ormes, the nearest village (5 km from La Bombie), you will find a well-stocked grocery store, as well as a family restaurant. There is also a restaurant 4 km away in Brandon (gourmet cuisine). During your stay La Rose des Vents is my home: I will be there to welcome you and answer your requests throughout your stay. Other things to note The second available bedroom is upstairs and can accommodate additional people. It is accessed by a staircase from the common area. It features a double bed. On the landing, the bathroom is private and includes a bathtub, sink and toilet. On request, it is possible to install a baby cot.
