Luxurious, stylish Shepherd hut with stunning view
Description
Church House Hut is a stunning, luxurious bespoke 18’ shepherd’s hut situated in a unique spot on the borders of Rutland, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. The vista from the front of the self-catering hut offers breath taking countryside views as far as the eye can see. From the back window, you remember that you are situated in a very special garden belonging to an 18th century church. Please note: This property is not suitable for children or infants due to safety and design considerations. The space Upon arrival to Church House Hut, you will look around the beautifully crafted space which will be your home for a couple of days. You will see immediately that the bespoke interior and exterior have been designed with stylish luxurious comfort in mind. This getaway provides everything that a romantic couple or creative, soulful person will need for a couple of nights escape from the norm. The king-size bed with a pocket-sprung mattress is complete with crisp white cotton sheets and pillowcases, anti-allergy pillows and a sumptuous duvet with a woollen throw for colder nights, although your toes will be toasty and warm throughout any season once the under-floor heating is on. The bathroom is beautifully equipped with a rain shower. Towels and hair and body lotions are also well stocked for your enjoyment. The kitchen is equipped with a kettle, toaster, cafetiere, a two-ring electric hob, and a microwave-convection oven powerful enough for you to cook a Sunday roast in during the autumn and winter months. For comfort there are two cosy bucket chairs with a drop-down table for dining. If you have no wishes or plans to explore the countless architectural historical buildings that stretch across the three counties we are ensconced in-between; or visit Rutland Water’s nature reserve; or go paddle boarding; or cycling; or exert yourself in any way - If all you are aching for is a space to breathe and think and relax, meditate, draw, paint or finish the book you’re reading... or writing, then this is the place for you. During the warmer seasons, you can cook outside on the fire pit which is also perfect for a cosy night around the fire, toasting marshmallows against the light of the moon. We will provide you with logs and firelighters.... And marshmallows! There is a bistro style seating area for you to eat al fresco or enjoy your coffee and toast in the morning. There are a great number of beautiful walks to choose from, varying in length and undulation. The countryside is literally on your doorstep.(Please ask Sam and Mark for further information, and don't forget your walking boots or wellies). Guest access We will provide you with location details and access information the day before your arrival. We will be on standby if you require anything during your stay. Please note that parking is allocated for 1 car within the Saxby Church House driveway. If you are arriving in two separate cars, please contact us beforehand so that we can accommodate this. Please also bear in mind that this space is for private cars only, no camper vans please. Other things to note Whilst the Hut is positioned overlooking stunning fields, at the back of the hut within Saxby Church House grounds there is a churchyard with headstones (some date back as far as the 18th Century which you are welcome to peruse at your leisure). Our hut is settled in one of the most peaceful and tranquil places, however due to it being in the countryside and overlooking farmland, at certain times of the year, there will be occasional harvesting and sound from farm machinery and distant vehicles, not forgetting sheep and Elvis the cockerel. Whilst we are dog lovers, unfortunately Church House Hut is not suitable for pets.
