The Getaway at Fairfield Bay!! Welcome home! Come out to the lake and enjoy the peaceful quiet of nature! Get out on the lake or relax on the wrap around deck- whatever you choose, you won't regret it! The space Leave your worries at the doorstep when you enter our favorite small town getaway! There are plenty of chances to relax: from the comfy living room with giant bay windows overlooking the forest, to the large, wrap around deck with charcoal grill (please note the gas grill in pictures is no longer available), adirondack chairs, and dining table. Sink into one of the comfy beds in one of our four bedrooms and get the most peaceful sleep, free of all the sounds of the city. Looking to make a family dinner? Use the fully stocked kitchen to prepare your favorite foods and eat your feast around the table for six (there's also room at the eat-in bar!) After dinner, head out to the garage that has been converted to a massive game room with plenty of activities to entertain everyone! Once you have settled in, take a walk down to the lake! Greers Ferry Lake is ranked among the cleanest, clearest lakes in the nation - and covers nearly 40500 acres and 460 miles of shoreline. Our house is just steps from the lake in one direction, and a short walk from the famous "cliffs" at Greer's Ferry Lake, in the other direction. The Fairfield Bay marina has boat, stand up paddle board, and kayak rentals, or you can have fun on the party barge or fishing! The community hosts 2 championship golf courses (Mountain Ranch Golf Course and Indian Hills Golf Course), tennis, 3 pools including the "Cool Pool" that overlooks the lake, 90 miles of ATV/UTV trails, as well as hiking/walking trails nearby. There are several playgrounds for the kids, basketball court, a disc golf course, and mini golf! You won't run out of fun things to do! PLEASE NOTE: There is currently a house being built next door. While it has not bothered any of our guests, we want to be fully transparent. *Disclaimer* When renting our home, please keep in mind that you are renting an older house in a heavily wooded area. Some floors are creaky and our home has some quirks that add to her character. We are located in a very quiet and lovely neighborhood amidst acres of unbothered land. With nature comes wildlife. From wild turkeys, to deer, to foxes, to snakes, to ticks and bugs, you never know what might be foraging nearby. That said, although we do our best to keep our home pest free, there are times when some wildlife will come inside (usually spiders and flies and ticks if you don't wear bug repellant). Try to keep doors closed to keep them from coming in. If you find critters outside, please be respectful of them- they were here first! Guest access Guests have full access to the house and garage gameroom. Other things to note Please note: we are in the woods and near a lake! We spray regularly but there are still all kinds of bugs around. Please bring insect repellent and check for ticks after being outside, especially when away from the house. Please note: there are three motion activated security cameras recording sound and video. One points towards the driveway and front yard, one points toward the front and side of the house, and one points to the entrance of the garage. Cameras are always active but only viewed in case of emergency. Please note: we have had to replace the gas grill with a charcoal grill. You will need to purchase charcoal and wood for the fire pit.
