The Church House - a unique cottage experience

The CHURCH HOUSE is situated in Bayfield, NEW BRUNSWICK!!!! This historic church, built in 1883, was renovated in 2016 and transformed into a distinctive cottage. It is only a few minutes from the beautiful sandy beaches of Cape Tormentine and the Confederation Bridge (a toll bridge costing approximately $20.00 to return to NB). The space Discover our newly updated and transformed church that boasts a spacious and welcoming open concept living room area (1500 sq. ft.) featuring an open kitchen design, a pool table, a large dining table that seats 12 guests, and 2 lounge areas with 6 sofas (which are double size sofa beds). You can also relax at the bar or on the covered screened-in deck. Depending on your group's size, you will have access to up to 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Here are the 5 available bedrooms: Bedroom #1: 1 California king size bed, attached full bathroom (accommodates up to 2) Bedroom #2: 1 California king size bed, 2 double size sofa beds, attached full bathroom (accommodates 6), 1 crib (bedding included) Bedroom #3: 2 double size beds (accommodates 4) Bedroom #4: 2 double size beds (accommodates 4) Bedroom #5: 1 double size bed (accommodates 2) Additionally, the living room features 5 double size sofa beds and 1 couch. Common area: 5 double size sofa beds, 1 couch, and 1 full independent bathroom. Bedding for the sofa beds is provided. There are 4 bathrooms available! The Church House is fully equipped with all essential amenities: small satellite TVs in bedrooms #1 and #2, a 50-inch wall-mounted TV in the living room, a dishwasher, 1 large refrigerator in the kitchen and another in the basement, microwave, toaster, kettle, standard coffee maker, a 40-cup coffee urn, mixer, slow cooker, griddle, cutting boards, pots, pans, paper towels, cotton tea towels, and more. We provide free Internet, linens, pillows, and duvets (changed upon request—please notify us by 11:00 AM for same-day changes!) Beach towels are not supplied—please bring your own. We will change your towels upon request! (let us know by 11:00 AM for same-day changes!) Toilet paper, dish soap, body wash, hand soap, and BBQ propane are included. A washer and dryer are available in the basement! Regarding our internet service: we offer the best available internet in our rural area. Please be aware that it may not be as fast or stable as in larger cities. Outages may occur due to weather conditions! Maintaining cleanliness and your comfort is our top priority! Our bathtub safety mats and shower curtains are sanitized and laundered after each stay. Guest access complimentary parking available for 8-10 vehicles in front of the Church House Enclosed screened deck - Accessible from the outside or bedroom # 1. Open sun deck featuring a BBQ. Swing and slide set for children - please do not leave your children unsupervised! Fire pit - please check daily for fire bans and never leave the fire unattended. Complimentary access to the Cape Tormentine beach campground with its beautiful sandy beach, and convenience store, along with views of the Confederation Bridge and PEI (Prince Edward Island). Other things to note The Church House offers a distinctive experience. Originally, the structure was a United Church established in 1883 and was completely renovated in 2016. Experience modern conveniences in a spacious, remarkable, one-of-a-kind, and historic building. Three powerful ceiling fans in the living room ensure your comfort during the warmer summer days. In the event of a power outage caused by any unpredicted circumstances, we have a generator that automatically activates for essential needs. You will still be able to flush the toilets, turn on most lights, and the oil furnace will operate in the winter. Activities available at The Church House and on the grounds include: A pool table inside the house Board games and playing cards A covered and screened-in deck along with a sundeck and firepit A Weber BBQ with propane provided on the open sundeck Two washer toss games that you can take to the nearby beach for enjoyment An axe-throwing game A ladder toss game Volleyball and badminton (with a net available on the property) A swing and slide set for children Please be aware that parents are responsible for their children! Smoking is not allowed inside the building. E-cigarettes are permitted. Smoking is allowed outside and on the covered deck; however, please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
