The space Sandy Acres is a peaceful escape set on 31 acres of private countryside on the edge of Hunter Valley wine country. The two homes are ideal for reunions, large family gatherings, celebrations, or a business getaway. The property is pet-friendly (please enquire) and offers plenty of on-site entertainment, so you only need to leave if you want to explore the local wine country. Please note this does not allow early access — check-in remains from 3:00 pm unless arranged in advance. Guests are welcome to enjoy both homes, the gardens, games shed, pool shed, tractor shed, and the closer fenced areas around the houses. The wider paddocks are working farmland with cattle, so we ask that you stay within the main guest areas unless you’re simply taking a quiet walk down to the dam. The cleaners’ cupboards and shipping containers are the only areas that are off-limits. Other things to note Included in your stay Both homes are stocked with cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware, crockery, dishwashing and laundry supplies. We also provide coffee pods, tea, sugar, milk, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash. Some firewood, matches and firelighters are supplied. Pets We are pet-friendly. Please note there is no enclosed pet area. The property has cattle grids at the entrance and is fenced with a mix of post-and-rail and barbed wire (designed for cattle). This will not reliably contain dogs, so please keep this in mind if your pet is a wanderer. Fireplaces & Fire Pit The indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit are available for use.
