The area is rich in flora and fauna, guests can expect to see a wide variety of woodland birds including several species of raptor, and chalk land wild flowers including orchids. Madehurst is a small, rural parish located right within the South Downs National Park, which achieved international Dark Sky Reserve status in 2016. Because of its isolated downland setting near Arundel and Chichester, Madehurst benefits from minimal light pollution and pitch-black night skies ideal for stargazing.
