Ling Ling House Switzerland

The Ling Ling House is located between Interlaken and Thun - an ideal base for exploring the Bernese Oberland. Nestled in nature our house offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of Lake Thun and the iconic Niesen mountain, often called the “Swiss Pyramid.” This is a traditional Swiss home, originally built in 1959, with gradual renovations over the years. It has its quirks and signs of age but remains a warm and comfortable space for a relaxing stay for up to 8 guests. The space The three stories Ling Ling House is situated slightly on a hillside, offering a beautiful mountain- and lakeview from every room. On the ground floor, you’ll find the kitchen and a cozy living room that opens onto the terrace—perfect for soaking in the breathtaking lake and mountain scenery. A bathroom and laundry room are also located on this floor. The first floor features three bedrooms and another bathroom. For groups of 7 or 8 guests, we also open the attic floor, which includes an additional bedroom and a small guest toilet. Please note that the house does not have air conditioning, as is common in traditional Swiss homes. Just below the house, a lovely swim spot awaits, easily accessible through our blooming garden—perfect for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Thun. Public transport is very convenient, with two bus stops nearby and frequent buses running to both Interlaken and Thun. Parking: We have a garage that fits one car and space for another car in the driveway. Additional free parking is available at Merligen Church, just a 2-minute walk away (approximately 150 meters). While our home is not a luxury property, it offers a genuine Swiss experience, where nature, tranquility, and stunning landscapes take center stage. The mild climate of Merligen makes it easy to unwind, whether you’re here to explore or simply relax. Guest access The Ling Ling House is exclusively rented to one booking group at a time, ensuring that you have the entire property to yourself. During your stay, no other guests will be in the house, ensuring your privacy and comfort. The number of prepared bedrooms is based on the number of guests booked (we calculate with 2 guests per bedroom). To ensure everything is prepared for your stay, we kindly ask you to specify the exact number of guests and the required number of bedrooms in your booking request. This will help us ensure your needs are met and that the house rules are understood. The attic floor (Room 4) with a guest toilet is only available for bookings of 7-8 guests. Other things to note Please note that our Airbnb is a non-serviced accommodation. Unlike hotel stays, we do not provide on-site staff, concierge services, or daily cleaning. We aim to offer a comfortable and private retreat, so we ask that guests take care of the house as if it were their own. Before departure, you will receive detailed check-out instructions the evening before your departure. The house must be left in a clean and tidy condition. To ensure proper preparation for the next guests, we kindly ask that the check-out time of 10:00 am is strictly adhered to. We reserve the right to charge penalties for unapproved late check-outs.
