Nestled at an altitude of nearly 300 meters in Soucht, in the birthplace of glassmaking and clog-making, Marie-Josée and Bernard's cottage welcomes you for a stay in the heart of the Northern Vosges. In this charming 5-star vacation rental, you can relax in a wellness area with a hot tub and shower at your disposal. The ground floor has reversible air conditioning, as do the 3 bedrooms upstairs. The space The cottage has the following on the ground floor, accessible by stairs: a large equipped kitchen with a large table and 8 chairs, open to the living room with a corner sofa, TV, Bluetooth speaker, and wood-burning stove for a cozy atmosphere, reversible air conditioning, a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, and cleaning supplies, a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a separate toilet, a bedroom with a 160 cm bed, and a dedicated work area. Upstairs: 3 bedrooms equipped with reversible air conditioning (2 140 cm beds and 1 160 cm bed), a bathroom with toilet and shower, and a walk-in closet/playroom. For your convivial winter evenings, a professional raclette set is available for your use. On the ground floor: a private hot tub and a shower in a converted 17 m² room, making a total of 3 showers in the cottage. In winter, bathrobes are provided free of charge for guests (from November to March). A garage is available to accommodate bicycles (not cars). The private parking lot can accommodate up to 6 cars. Outside, there is a pergola, a table with 10 chairs, 8-seater garden furniture, a high-quality barbecue, 8 loungers and a small children's play area. Baby equipment available: 4 cots and 4 high chairs. Cleaning will be done every 15 days with a change of linens (included in the rate). ** Massages available by reservation. Jennifer from Natur'o Pays du Verre, certified in Californian massage from the Essenciel O Naturel school and a certified naturopath from the Plantasanté school in Obernai, can provide you with a relaxing moment with a unique massage, directly at the gîte. Other things to note We would like to point out that the price of the accommodation is fixed and not variable, and is all-inclusive. The village of Soucht, known for its clog makers, and its museum are on the border with Alsace and are located 30 minutes from Germany. Must-visits during your stay: the Meisenthal Glassworks Museum, the internationally renowned Crystal Museum in Saint-Louis, and the Lalique Museum (near Alsace), dedicated to the master glassmaker and jeweler René Lalique. *From the beginning of November, you can visit the Meisenthal glassworks site to buy the vintage Christmas ornament for the current year, as well as those from previous years. Places to see: the Citadel of Bitche, a Vauban fortification, and its Garden for Peace, the Simserhof and Fort Casso, which are very important structures of the Maginot Line. Exceptional: the Altschlossfelsen rock, which is about 1.5 km long and has an average height of between 15 and 20 meters. It is nicknamed Colorado Rock.
