Spacious, artistic home away from home! 3 bedrooms including King, queen, and full sized beds. Linens and towels provided. Handcrafted accents throughout made by owner provide a custom experience in a home built in 1898. Full kitchen, laundry room, 1 full bathroom. Upstairs carpet is cleaned between each visit and shampooed multiple times/year. Located in residential area on a main road with train nearby, NOT a quiet suburban or woodsy area. Stores nearby! The space The living room is a themed music room! Spacious dining room, huge kitchen and one bedroom on the first floor. Laundry room outside of bathroom. Beds are comfortable! We have a few board games provided for you to enjoy. Vinyl flooring on 1st floor. Upstairs carpet is cleaned after each visit. 1 bedroom heated with a wall space heater and cooled with a window unit, and every other room uses home HVAC. Black makeup towels provided, but brown dye may run occasionally. We provide white linens so guests know they are in a clean space. Well cared for, older home with a few things being up-cycled. 2 bedrooms upstairs and with the home being built in 1898, may be steep for some. Please keep this in mind when booking and choose another Airbnb if climbing stairs will be an issue. We have done our best to prioritize guest comfort through our hospitality and by letting you know what you can expect. We have a huge yard, but it’s not fenced in. For this reason, our back porch isn’t expected to be a part of our guest experience. While you are free to go out there, just know that we are working to find a way to make that area private and inviting. When that happens, it will be reflected in our listing description and pricing. We know how important it is for travel to be affordable, and for what you get in your stay, it’s a GREAT deal. If anything we described is a deal breaker for you (stairs, residential area, older home, empty back porch, train nearby), we kindly ask that you don’t book with us simply because we are affordable. That won’t be good for you as our guest or to us as hosts. We go above and beyond to be a gem for those who are visiting our city. It’s not fair to expect a luxury hotel or a quiet, suburban experience, knowing that is not what you are paying for, and reflecting that in a review as if we have not met the bar for excellence in what we provide. You can expect to be hosted well in our regular home! Please book accordingly! Guest access This is a single family home, so you will have the entire place to yourself! The garage is rented, so you may encounter the tenant while in the backyard. Our side yard is not fenced in and the street is on a main road. If you are looking for outdoor privacy and quiet, we suggest looking at other properties. This is a regular neighborhood, not a suburban or wooded area. It is our home, not the surrounding area, that we have turned into an Airbnb. If you prefer a quiet or less populated location, there are other Airbnb homes that would be a better fit for your visit. Other things to note No smoking or vaping in the home. Subject to $250 fee. We ask that you let us know that you have read and agree to the house rules at the time of booking.
