Cozy log cabin with a large covered porch and deck overlooking Lake Huron. Situated for a perfect sunset every night. Surrounded by trees offering a private oasis. Spectacular outdoor amenities: covered porch with seating, deck with dining set, a gas grill and two firepits with chairs. A renovation was completed in the winter of 2023. The living space is an open concept kitchen, dining and living area. The cabin can comfortably accommodate twelve guests, with two private bedrooms and a loft. The space You will access the cabin through the side porch, where you are welcomed by a large entry area. Your eyes will be immediately drawn to the lake view through the windows on the right. That living space is open and airy; comprising the living room, dining room and kitchen. To the left are two private bedrooms and the main bathroom. Upstairs is a large open loft with plenty of additional space. There is a nice area with a pull-out couch, chair and TV. There are two defined sleeping areas as well. The cabin can comfortably accommodate twelve guests. The private bedrooms on the main floor each have a queen bed and the loft has a full pull-out couch, two queen beds and three twin beds. In the basement is an additional half bath and a space suitable for hanging out. There is a table and chairs so you have another area for people to gather. The outdoor amenities can't be beat. There is a large covered porch with plenty of seating for you to relax and enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake. A few steps away, and closer to the lake, is a deck with a large dining set. There are two outdoor firepits; one on the beach and one closer to the street which is ideal when the winds off the lake are not conducive to a beach bonfire. We have plenty of firewood to keep your fire going long into the night. The cabin is perfect, and you may not want to leave the property, but Port Austin is a charming town and worth a visit. It is a short two-mile trek to town where you'll find restaurants, gift shops and parks. Sunset Cabin is available for 6 night minimum stays, beginning June 14th, 2027 thru September 5th, with CHECK-IN being on MONDAY at 2 pm and CHECK-OUT being on SUNDAY at noon. Sunset Cabin is also available for 2 night minimum stays during the spring and fall months. If you would prefer a longer trip length, please reach out to us and we may be able to accommodate you. Please respect our maximum number of guests to include only 12 people. Should you exceed our maximum number of 12 guests, the cleaning fee will be doubled. Guest access Guests have access to the entire space, other than a locked owner's closet. Other things to note There are two private bedrooms on the main floor. Upstairs are two defined sleeping areas that are part of an open loft; not private bedrooms. The cabin is shaded by trees and there is a lovely breeze from the lake most of the time, however, there are air conditioning units located throughout the cabin should you need them. The sandstone leading to the water is VERY slippery when wet. Water shoes are recommended. Please respect our maximum number of guests to include only 12 people.
