Description
Fogensegaarden near Bogense has an unusual location for an old farm. A few meters from the beach on the island of Fogense, which was dammed and the road into Bogense drained and protected by a dike almost 150 years ago. An enterprising farmer, Christian Jensen, built the farm 130 years ago in its current form with a large farmhouse and a humble tenant housing at the southern end. It is the main house, which after several modernizations is now rented out in the coming season to holiday guests. The space With its 15 adult sleeping places in six rooms, Fogensegaarden is suitable for holiday and weekend stays for several families, family gatherings for two or three generations, intimate celebrations of family events and badge days. But also for work seminars, course activity, and team-building for demarcated employee groups, the amenities have proved suitable. An activity room of approximately 50 square meters, which is usually used for table tennis, etc., can easily be refurnished for a course room or other activity, if notice is given prior to the stay. In the main house of Fogensegaarden there is a large country kitchen with direct views of the sea and dining area for 15-20 people. The ground floor has three rooms, one of which is a family room with a double bed, an adult size bunk bed, and a baby bed. We ask guests to bring pets only on the ground floor. On the 1st floor there are three rooms as well as a lounge environment and a bathroom. In addition, there is an approximately 50 square meter activity room with table tennis. Especially for courses and team building The activity room can easily be converted into a classroom with the necessary facilities for 15-20 people. It is an obvious choice for organizers of course, team building or company events to enter with one of Bogense's out-of-house food suppliers or to experience a gourmet meal being prepared in the country kitchen by entering with a CHEFMADE gourmet chef. Or enter with the host, Bøje Østerlund, who is an experienced nature and cultural history storyteller. He offers an exclusive hike in the local area: “Grundtvig-Koldsk folk high school-inspired field, nature and beach hiking with cultural-historical dimensions on the uneven” The storytelling tour with anecdotes lasts a couple of hours in the terrain and on overgrown paths, as Our Lord and our ancestors have created it, that is, uneven, alternating, and thus diverse. For the same reason, the trip requires appropriate clothing for the weather, footwear for the uneven terrain and the possibility/risk of wet grass at ankle height. So a little bit of a struggle, but not too bad. Please let me know in advance if you would like this event, so I can add it to my calendar. The event costs 1,000 kroner, which will be charged afterwards. Guest access There are two separate homes in the large farmhouse. The owner lives in the independent apartment, which faces south. Guests have access to the main house, which faces the beach and has sea views from the panoramic windows in the kitchen. There are stairs up to the 1st floor from the living room and from here there is also a direct view of the sea from one of the rooms and a living room. Other things to note On the 1st floor, there are three double rooms, one of which has a direct view of the sea from the beds.
