Extensive forests and mountain meadows, fast flowing streams and magnificent views make the surroundings a paradise for nature lovers. Cycling over the mountain ridge, the Rennsteig - that's an experience! Eagles, black grouse, lynxes and numerous other animal species that hardly exist in the rest of Europe still find a habitat here.
