Villa with mountain and forest views
Description
There's a lot to do, but not enough time. Modern life often forces us to live under unnecessary stress. The dream of creating an escape from this stress led us to build this house where we would feel that we are a part of nature. The space When choosing the color palette of the house, we focused on making us feel at home, we tried to use as many natural materials as possible inside, in fact, we did not particularly prefer television as we went to rest and listen to ourselves. The house is located on a 5-acre plot overlooking the northern forests from the dominant hill. We are not in the village, but there are neighboring households in our side parcels, which makes us feel both away from people, which we need, and safe as if we were close. We decided to open our house, where we worked hard on everything including project designs, construction and interior design, to Airbnb so that others can escape and experience this when we are not away. The most enjoyable place of the house, which has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 open space (can be converted into a bedroom with a screen/study/activity area) and a large living room-kitchen area, is the patio, we especially do not want you to miss the sunset. (If you're staying in the summer, don't forget to wear something thick to sit on the porch in the evening). We've also created many pleasant spaces inside the house. If you wish, you can chat with your friends on the other side of the island while cooking in the kitchen, or you can read your book by looking at the view in front of the fireplace. If you don't prefer to keep your curtains closed in the morning, waking up to the sunrise, being alone and resting, meeting your friends around the long dining table, taking a break from everything in the bathtub in our carefully designed bathroom, drinking coffee under the 100-year-old oak tree and enjoying your book, maybe even writing a few lines, listening to the sound of the wind in the forest next to our land, looking at the night sky and being surprised by the number of stars or the rise of the moon right next to you, if you're lucky, witnessing a few shooting stars, and sometimes noticing how close the clouds are and remembering the splendor of nature. Going for a walk in the heart of the northern forests, running if you like trail runs, riding a bike, doing yoga and/or meditation, breathing deeply and enjoying the breath you take, and maybe sometimes just standing there doing nothing... Guest access Transportation to our house, which is about 1.5 hours from Istanbul, is quite convenient. After exiting the Northern Marmara highway, you are here after a pleasant half-hour village road trip. You can open the garage door and leave your vehicle at the nearest spot. Other things to note Çakmaklar Village and the surrounding villages where our house is located are very small settlements. Unfortunately, there are no places such as grocery stores, greengrocers, butchers, etc. The closest grocery store to our house is in Tekzen Village (10 minutes by car). Here you can buy bread, water, soft drinks, basic delicatessen products, cigarettes, etc. If you want a slightly larger grocery store (A101), if you need a snack or fuel, there is Ishakçılar Village 20 minutes away. However, alcoholic beverages are not sold in either village. The nearest off-license is in Akçaova Village, 20 minutes away by car. The nearest markets such as Migros, Carrefoursa are in Kandıra, İzmit or Ağva, 45-50 minutes by car. Likewise, there are no restaurants in our immediate vicinity. But if you want to explore the surroundings a little, you can find restaurants around coastal towns such as Ağva, Bağırganlı, Kefken. If you are coming from Kandıra, there are restaurants in Kandıra Merkez and on the Kandıra road. We haven't discovered these places yet, but we'll update and share this information as we receive suggestions. Our house is right in the heart of nature. Therefore, various insects and flies may be curious about our house and try to get inside. To prevent this, all our windows have mosquito nets. We recommend that you keep the mosquito nets closed during your stay. Especially when you spend time on the porch, if you close the mosquito net when you go in and out, your comfort in the house will not be disturbed. Unfortunately, our waste system is not connected to the sewage system because our house is outside the village area. Solid waste is also a very serious problem for the septic system. We kindly ask you not to flush your toilet paper down the toilet. The main function of our majestic curtains hanging from the ceiling in the high-ceilinged hall is to provide sound insulation. So please don't close them. We only see the forest from our windshield anyway, and there's no sunlight coming from there all day. Since we're on the hill, we can get stuck in the clouds some nights. That means significant humidity. For this reason, we kindly ask you to take in the chairs and tables left on the porch at night. It is an important issue both to protect the items and to use these items comfortably the next day. Our land is completely surrounded by fences and we have never seen any animals in our garden. But we must not forget that we are still in nature. We take care not to leave food on the porch before going to bed at night so as not to attract the attention of animals. A significant part of the surfaces in our house are natural wood materials. We want all our guests to enjoy it for years. Therefore, we ask you to leave the kitchen countertops as dry as possible. The patio can be a little chilly in the evenings as we are on a hill overlooking the location. We recommend that you bring thick clothes with you. For security purposes, there are cameras on our 4 facades, and there are no video or audio recording devices in the house. We have installed a high-quality water purifier for drinking water to save our guests from the trouble of carrying water. There is a separate tap for drinking water to the left of the sink in the kitchen, you can drink it with pleasure. Heating is provided by a heat pump. We always have hot water. We have internet (Superbox). Password: Jc7ySJa55F You can find all the tools you need in the kitchen. All you need for the barbecue is to bring some charcoal. Using only wood fire is also an option.
