Perry Pond is located close to many recreation opportunities (ski, bike, hike, swimming holes, paddling), restaurants, breweries, and scenic attractions in the Waterbury-Stowe-Waitsfield-Montpelier area. Its private setting overlooking a pond and distant views provides the perfect getaway for those seeking a peaceful break from their daily routine or to relocate remote work. The space Perry Pond is a roomy 1150 sf two-bedroom home sized for four people. All living space in on a single floor with carpeted stairs going to an unfinished basement. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the other bedroom has 2 twins, which can be pushed together. It features an upscale kitchen, dining area, and comfy sitting space with propane stove – all with restful views. The kitchen is outfitted with all the equipment and essentials to support avid cooks. A large view deck provides space for lounging and barbequing, while a level grassy space and sledding slope support outside activities. With high speed WIFI, two desks (one a variable height in front of a large picture window), and laser printer, those wanting to work remotely will find this the perfect hideaway. There is ample storage for bikes or other gear in the detached garage. Guest access Guests have access the living level. The basement is unfinished and should not be accessed unless needed for accessing mechanicals or the router. The garage can be used by guests. Other things to note Vermont roads can be special. In the winter there can be snow, ice, and everything in-between. If it warms up in the winter, or in the spring there can be mud and ruts. Our road is paved until about 1/2 mile before the house, then turns to a high quality maintained dirt road. The paved section is steep with one section that is 17% grade. Please take caution on the dirt section, sometimes there are subtle ruts that can move a car one way or the other. For travel when there may be snow (late fall, winter, through mid spring) I recommend an AWD vehicle with snow tires. During muddy times (it all depends on mother nature as to timing), higher clearance is needed. Additionally there is a pond on the property. Please do not go out on the ice. It is difficult to tell if it is safe or not, and where the thin parts are.
